camp, when they were together, and how much she needed him. It felt so good to touch her with his body and skin.
Later that evening, Red awoke to see Luna seated on the floor near the fireplace.
"What is wrong, love?" Red asked her as he got up and sat down next to her.
"Nothing, that's all I can't sleep," Luna says,
glancing across at Red turned to face her,
Luna grinned and said, "what?" She claims that Red stepped closer and held Luna, who flushed and turned away.
Luna cuddled up to Red, who then planted a kiss on her.
As the sun rose, Red helped Luna into the wagon. He admired the way the sun fell on her face, the way her eyes and mouth looked, and everything about her. He promised to always hold Luna close, to love and cherish her, to make her feel safe again, and to show her that no matter where in the world she is she can still have family. He might be her family, and perhaps in the future they will start a family of their own.
When Luna noticed the small village disappearing behind them as they were leaving, she started to cry a little. She cried, but Red quickly dried her eyes, pulled her in close, and comforted her, saying,
"I love you, Luna. You are my family now, and I will be yours forever, my love."
