Red was even more enamored of Luna's beauty as he gazed at her in wonder and noticed the sun reflecting off of her face and hair.

He questioned, "what is it? Why are you giggling at me?"

after Luna caught a glimpse of him staring at her out of the corner of her eye and burst into laughter. After shaking her head, Luna glanced down at the water, then back at Red, then down again, and finally sprayed him with water in a hurry! Luna rushed away from Red as he stood up and smiled. He pursued her until he grabbed her, at which point he leaned her against a nearby tree and gave her a passionate kiss.

They then heard Jacob cry, "come let's go on, we still have a long way to go."

Red and Luna dashed back to the wagon, climbed inside, and headed out.

Luna marveled at the beauty of it all as they rode away. The wildflowers and the water and the trees were all beautiful but not like at home. When she turned to face Red and saw him idly tinkering with his belt-mounted pouch,

she thought, "wow, this man truly loves and cares for me. I want to grow old with him and have children with him. He is the love of my life and my family."
