After last night, Eleven knew that something was wrong with Billy and wanted to find out what it was. Max and Asher on the other hand didn't want to, both for different reasons. While Max believed that Eleven did see something weird, it was just probably Billy being Billy, and then Asher just couldn't give less of a fuck about Billy. But besides Eleven being outnumbered, they ended up waking up early to go to Max's house to see if Billy is okay.

"I swear to God if he's just lying in his bed I'm never hanging out with you two ever again" Asher explains, rubbing his eyes to try and stay awake.

"But then you'll have no friends" Max explains as she walks next to Asher since Eleven is storming ahead.

"I do have friends besides you two, you know" Asher says, feeling offended "I have Eddie."

"Oh yeah, Eddie Munson? What a great friend" Max sarcastically says with a scoff.

"He is a great friend actually" Asher says in a serious tone "He's one of the best people I've ever met."

"A drug dealer is one of the best people you've ever met?" Max asks, not believing Asher. Max hadn't met Eddie Munson before, but she had heard of him. Everyone in Hawkins had heard of Eddie "The Freak" Munson. Just like Asher, Eddie has a bad reputation, which is probably the reason why the two clicked as well as they do. The freaky drug dealer being best friends with the town psycho? It was a cliche duo which Max fully understood, but that still didn't mean that she thought Eddie wasn't a good or bad person.

"Yeah he is" Asher says "And by the way, you don't know him and you don't know me so you've got no room to judge either of us."

"But I do know you" Max says with a small laugh.

"Okay, go on" Asher says to Max, signalling for her to carry on talking. Asher already knew what Max thought of him, it was just the same as everyone else in town, but for some reason, he wanted to hear her say it. Maybe he was hoping that she would say the complete opposite or surprise him by actually being on point with who he is. He didn't know why he was hoping for Max to say something slightly different to everyone else since he'd stopped caring what everyone thought about him, but for some reason, when it came to Max, he didn't want her to think the same as everyone else.

"You're violent, a trash-mouth, a druggie, a kleptomaniac and you're probably never going to graduate from high school" Max starts to explain, making Asher frown "But at the same time, you're loyal to your friends, you stuck up for Chrissy and got arrested which shows that you respect woman and stick up for people who can't stick up for themselves, you put everyone else before yourself and that the reason you can't commit to a relationship is because no one has ever shown you what love truly feels like. You act like you're a bad guy because that's how everyone else sees you but you're not a bad guy, Ash."

"Um... yeah I've got no words for that" Asher says with a nervous laugh.

"Am I right?" Max asks with a smile, already knowing the answer from Asher's reaction.

"Maybe a little bit" Asher says with a smile, not wanting to fully admit that Max is right.

"Is everything okay?" Eleven asks, walking over to the two, just realising that they weren't walking beside her anymore.

"Yeah, everything's good" Asher says to Eleven "Now let's go because the quicker we get this done, the quicker I get a nap."

"You just woke up" Max says rolling her eyes. That morning, Max had woke Asher up by throwing a pillow at his head, which he wasn't very happy about, but it still woke him up.

"And I still would of been asleep if it wasn't for you and that stupid pillow" Asher says with a scoff.

"It's going to start pouring soon" Max mentions, looking up at the cloudy sky "We should be at the mall or, like, watching a movie or something."

"Or sleeping" Asher mentions, making Max glare at him.

"You don't believe me?" Eleven asks her two friends.

"I believe you saw some super weird stuff, totally" Max starts explaining "But you said Mike has sensed you in there before, right?" She asks, making Eleven nod "So maybe it was just like that. Maybe Billy just... sensed you somehow."

"But the screams" Eleven mentions.

"Yeah but here's the thing" Max mentions with a sigh "When Billy is alone with a girl, they make, like, really crazy noises."

"They scream?" Eleven asks, not understanding.

"Yeah, but, like... happy screams" Max tries to explain with as little detail as possible.

"Happy screams? What's happy screams?" Eleven asks, still not understanding what Max is going on about.

"I'll explain" Asher says to Max before looking at Eleven "Okay, so when two people are very attracted to each other, they have something called--"

"I'll just lend you my mom's cosmo" Max interrupts Asher, not wanting to confuse Eleven more than she already is "His car's not here" Max mentions as they finally make it to her house.

"Maybe he's at work or stayed at a girl's place last night" Asher mentions with a shrug, not seeing the big deal.

"You really want to do this?" Max asks Eleven, who nods her head before they walk into the house and straight for Billy's room.

"Why do I get the feeling we're going to find all kinds of wrong in here?" Asher says as Max opens Billy's bedroom door.

"Because Billy is disgusting" Max mentions as Asher walks over to Billy's bedside drawers, opening the top drawer to find three magazines.

"Hey, do you think Billy will lend me one of these?" Asher jokes, making Max slap him across the head.

"I thought you had some respect for woman" Max says with a glare.

"I'm only joking" Asher says with a laugh "But seriously, you think I could take one of these?" Asher asks, making Max roll her eyes.

"You're disgusting" Max scoffs before following Eleven to the bathroom.

"I was only joking" Asher says to Max before following her to the bathroom to see the bath filled with water and empty ice bags "Looks like he's been here."

"Ice" Max says as she picks up one of the empty ice bags "It's just ice. It's probably for his muscles or something. He works out like a maniac."

"And I could still beat him in a fight" Asher says, remembering the day he actually did beat him up, making him smile to himself as Eleven walked over the the cupboard underneath the sink "El, you good?"

"El, what is it?" Max asks as Eleven looks in the trash can which was in the cupboard, pulling out a lifeguard fanny pack and a whistle covered in blood stains.

"Okay, um, maybe El was right about something being wrong" Asher mentions to the two girls.
