After Mike's weird outburst of emotion, Eleven had tried to look for Billy one last time which terrified Asher. Eleven had came out of her trance crying and scared, and that had worried Asher because he'd never seen her look so scared in the whole time he's known her. Even after everything from last year, Asher never saw Eleven scared, so seeing her like that made him know that whatever Eleven saw was not good, at all.

"He said he was building something" Eleven says to everyone "That it was all for me."

"Building something?" Max asks "Is he talking about the flayed?"

"He must be" Nancy says with a sigh.

"So he's building an army just like we thought" Lucas mentions to the group.

"Yeah, but he's not building this army to spread" Mike says to Lucas.

"He's building it to stop Eleven" Will finishes off Mike's sentence.

"Which we're obviously not going to let happen" Asher reassures Eleven "Yeah, he's pissed off from you closing the gate on him last year, but we've stopped him once so we can do it again."

"The Mind Flayer knows that El is the only one who can stop him" Mike says "But if she's out of the way--"

"Game over" Lucas finishes.

"Which is why we're not going to let that happen" Asher repeats himself "Come on, guys, let's try to be a little bit positive here."

"He also said he was gonna kill all of you" Eleven mentions, trying not to cry again.

"Yeah, well, that's nice" Max sarcastically mumbles.

"Fuck, well, that's the positivity out of the window" Asher says with a sigh as Nancy starts walking towards one of the windows near Mike.

"Do you guys hear that?" Nancy asks, making everyone sit up in fear.

"It's just the fireworks" Jonathan says, not being able to hear anything.

"Billy" Nancy says, turning around to face Eleven "When he told you this, it was here, in this room?" She asks, making Eleven nod her head.

"He knows we're here" Will says to the group, making Asher turn around to see Will's hand on the back of his neck.

"Shit" Asher quickly says before running outside, making everyone else follow to see the Mind Flayer coming towards the cabin. So he ran inside, looking for something he could use as a weapon, and the only thing he could find was Steve's baseball bat. Why was Steve's bat at the cabin? He had no idea, but at least he could use it to defend himself somehow.

"You know that's Steve's bat, right?" Max asks Asher as she is using the furniture to cover up one of the windows.

"Well he isn't using it, is he?" Asher asks Max "And I think, for this situation, I don't think he'll care too much if I borrow it."

"Ash, a bit of help?" Will asks as him and Lucas are trying to move to book shelves across to cover another window.

"Yeah, okay" Asher says before walking over, helping the two push the shelf "Shit, why is this so heavy" He says before the three successfully cover the window.

"Hey, get away from the windows" Nancy mentions, making Asher pick up the bat again as they all stand in a circle in the middle of the room.

The group all stand in silence, waiting for any noise of the Mind Flayer being anywhere near them as the lights in the cabin start flickering "It's close" Will says quietly.

"It's here, man, not close" Asher says as he hears the footsteps of the Mind Flayer going around the cabin.

"Where'd it go?" Max asks as everyone looks around the room, waiting for something to happen.

The temperature dropped suddenly, a sharp chill that cut through the warm, cozy space. It was a feeling they'd all come to recognize: the Mind Flayer was near. Eleven, sensing the growing threat, stood in front of her friends, her brow furrowed in concentration. But she looked exhausted—her powers had been stretched to their limit. Even she knew that something was coming, and it wasn't going to be easy to fight.

And then it came.

The sound of glass shattering echoed through the cabin. The Mind Flayer's tendrils shot through the windows, thick and black, like a nightmare taking form. The creature wasn't just a shadow in the background anymore; it was real, monstrous, and it was coming for them.

The tendrils smashed through the wood, reaching for the group, twisting and writhing like snakes. The group screamed, scrambling back. Eleven tried to push them away, using every ounce of her telekinetic power to hold the creature back, but it was too strong. She faltered, her head throbbing, her energy slipping through her fingertips like sand. For a moment, the group was vulnerable, caught in the chaos of the attack.

The Mind Flayer wasn't just some mindless beast—it was intelligent, and it knew how to hurt them. It lashed out with its appendages, trying to pierce the walls of the cabin, to grab hold of whoever it could. Eleven's powers faltered once again, and the creature began to break through, inch by inch. The cabin trembled under its weight. As the tendrils kept pushing through, they lashed out at Eleven, gripping onto her leg as, Mike and the others rushed to help her, but the creature was too powerful. Asher did the first thing he could think of, which was dropping the bat and picking up the axe that was a few feet away from him, before running over to the scene, before repeatably hitting the thing until the leg came off and let Eleven go.

In the chaos, Eleven was pushed to her limits. She fell to her knees, drained and defeated. It was clear that she couldn't hold the creature off forever, and the cabin was no longer a safe haven. As the Mind Flayer's tendrils crept closer, the group realized they had to act fast—there was no time to waste.

It was a moment of desperation, of terror, but it was also the spark of realization. They couldn't just hide from this thing anymore. They needed to confront it head-on, to end it before it could consume them all.

With the Mind Flayer inches from them, and the cabin in ruins, the group fought back—each in their own way, pushing their fear to the side. They knew the battle wasn't over, and the stakes had never been higher. But in that moment, they understood one thing: they couldn't let the Mind Flayer win. The fight for Hawkins—and for their lives—was far from over.
