While following Dustin to wherever he was leading the group, Asher tried his best to avoid Max, not wanting to have the very awkward conversation that he knew would come up at some point. So, he decided to walk with Eddie, so he could catch up with him... and use it as a way to avoid Max.

"So, that's the ex I've heard so much about?" Eddie asks Asher as the two look at Max, who was walking a few feet in front of him "She seems like your type."

"I have a type?" Asher asks Eddie with a laugh. Asher has never really thought he had a type. When he was hooking up with girls, before he met Max, he didn't really have a type; he just got with girls who had a heartbeat and had an interest in him. After he got closer with Max, however, that all changed. Ever since Max broke up with him, he hadn't gotten with another girl.

"Just someone that cares about you" Eddie says with a shrug "And that girl cares about you."

"Sometimes she does" Asher says with a shrug. Even though the two are on talking terms, Max still confuses Asher. One minute, the two would be flirting with each other like they hadn't broken up, and then the next minute Max will be reminding Asher that he isn't her boyfriend anymore. He just didn't really know where he stood with Max at the moment.

"So, Harrington... he's not a dickhead?" Eddie asks Asher. Before Asher and Steve had got dragged into helping Dustin with Dart, Asher had thought that Steve was a complete and utter dickhead. The way that Steve just acted like he was better than everyone irritated the life out of Asher, but after getting to know Steve, Asher realised he wasn't that bad of a guy. Yes, Steve could still be annoying at times, but he liked the guy.

"Not really, no" Asher tells Eddie "He's more of a mom than a dickhead."

"Hart, don't even start with that" Steve says, not even looking back at Asher. He didn't want a repeat of two years ago, when Asher constantly called Steve a mom.

"A mom?" Eddie asks with a laugh.

"Yeah, he's just... I don't know" Asher says with a shrug as Max hangs back so Eddie and Asher could catch up with the girl "He just acts like a mom."

"Eddie, do you mind if I steal Ash for a minute?" Max asks Eddie, making Eddie smile at Asher.

"I don't mind at all" Eddie says to Max with a smile before whispering "Good luck" to Asher before walking to catch up with Dustin.

"So, is this the--" Asher goes to say but gets cut off.

"Why didn't you ever take me to Skull Rock?" Max asks Asher "You did it for all of the other girls, so why not me?"

"Jesus, Max" Asher says with a sigh "Because none of them were my girlfriend. That's the difference. You were my girlfriend, they weren't. That's why I didn't take you there."

"I was your first girlfriend?" Max asks Asher in surprise. Yes, in the summer he kept going on about how Dustin got a girlfriend before he did; but Max honestly thought he was joking.
