Hanbin can't believe it , when he sees the boy, he can't stop thinking about, sitting on his favourite bench.
He notices how depressed the other guy looks. He immediately starts worrying as he quickly walks over and sits down next to him. He has no idea what he should say, or if he even has the right to say anything at all. But he also definitely can't just ignore the celebrity.
"Are you okay?", he finally asks in a very soft and gentle voice. The idol slowly raises his head and looks at him. His eyes are red from crying but Hanbin can still see the beautiful sparkle in them."Oh nothing, you can just ignore me, I'll be fine again shortly."
Hanbin doesn't move, "It's okay, you can tell me, I won't tell anyone else, I promise."
The other boy seems conflicted, it's probably not easy for a guy in his position to trust a stranger.
Hanbin sighs "Everyone goes through hard times, why should you have to bare it alone."
Hanbin can see that the other boy is truly devastated, he doesn't know why but he wants to make it better really badly. He just doesn't know how.
"My family hates me... I'm all alone" the boy next to him whispers.
"What?, I'm sure that's not true", is all Hanbin can say after that comment.
"Yes it is, they hated me ever since I decided to become an artist instead of inheriting the family business."
"I'm sure they're still proud of you, you're pretty much the most successful and admired person in this country, how could they not.",Hanbin tries to comfort the other boy.
"I really don't think so, the night I told them I would move away to start training, we fought really badly. My father became violent , I'm still scared when I think about that."
Hanbin can only stare at him in shock after what he said.
"Although that was a long time ago, and worse things have happened to me since, they still never came to terms with my decision. They made that clear a lot of times."
"What did they do to you?", Hanbin asks in an angry tone, he suddenly feels protective over the boy next to him.
"Nothing recently, but my company now arranged a fan meeting in my hometown , and notified them, I really ... really can't face them..."
The desperation in Hao's voice makes Hanbin feel some pain in his chest. "Why would your company arrange that then?"
"Oh it's not their fault... they thought it would make me happy... I never told them about my family, I actually never told anyone before."
"You couldn't even tell your friends?" Hanbin is very close to crying himself now.
"No... I actually... actually don't have a lot of friends..." , the idol stutters.
"Well, I'll be your friend then, you shouldn't have to go through things alone." Hanbin is still sad for the other boy, but he also feels strangely proud to be the first person the celebrity opened up to. The boy now looks at him confused. "Why would you want to be my friend, I thought you don't like me", he then says with a pout, which Hanbin finds quite cute.
"I actually really wanted to apologise for how I behaved that night, I had a really bad day and I somehow let it out on you. I'm sorry, I feel awful, I can't believe I acted so foolishly. Can you forgive me?" the words just flow out of him.
A small smile finally appears on the idols face. "Yes I'll forgive you, if everyone would apologise like that, just for not being nice the world would definitely be a better place. Don't worry it's not like you said anything really rude to begin with."
Hanbin knows that that is not entirely the truth because he had felt how much his words affected Hao, but he doesn't want to insist, he's just glad the other boy doesn't resent him."By the way don't you think, you should tell me your name if you want to be my friend."
Hanbin mentally face palms himself, how could he forget to introduce himself. "I'm Hanbin , Sung Hanbin."
