At some point during their chatter, the two of them must have fallen asleep, just like that sitting on the couch. When morning comes, Hao is the first to wake up, quickly becoming aware of the fact that he is half laying on top of the other boy. He immediately tries to move away, feeling quite embarrassed but the arms holding him just tighten around him."Stay like this a little longer", Hanbin whispers softly under him.
The embarrassment and insecurities that had started to surface moments before in his mind, immediately vanished into thin air. After finally getting up, they start preparing some breakfast, talking about plans they could make for their day.At some point around lunch time they get startled by the sudden sound of the door bell ringing.Hao has no idea who it could it be, as his manager rarely enters the apartment complex when he picks him up and this day his schedules were cleared anyway. The only other person he could think of that would visit is already in the apartment with him.
His thoughts are interrupted by the bell ringing a second time. Hanbin looks as confused as himself, so he quickly goes to the door to press the button of the interphone. "Who is there ?" he asks, with a shaky voice.
"Hao-yah! Are you okay?" An older woman's voice is heard screaming into the interphone.
Hanbin is suddenly standing right next to him whispering into his ear. "Who is she?"
Hao sighs as he presses the button to open the door and let the woman in. "Well here we go..."A few moments later he opens the door and the mysterious woman barges in, completely straddling him in a tight hug. "How are you sweetie? What happened? Do you know how worried I've been after hearing from my husband last night?",she cries out loudly.
After a moment she seems to realise that he isn't alone in the apartment, as a very startled Hanbin is still standing very close to him.Her eyes widen in immediate joy "Oh is this the boy I've been hearing so much about? Hello nice to meet you! I'm Miss Hwang."
Now it's Hanbin's turn, getting the air squeezed out of his lungs, in his typical gentle spoken way, he comments: "Nice to meet you, I'm Hanbin. I've heard equally much about you, thank you for caring for Hao all this time."
The woman utterly endeared, beams in happiness as she looks at them both."I've brought food, let's go to the kitchen, you have a lot to tell me."In a matter of very short time Miss Hwang had conjured a whole feast and the whole apartment was filled with the smell of homecooked food.
When they all sit down at the table to start eating, Hao feels really nervous. He has a feeling the conversation to be held will go quite embarrassingly for him.The food is delicious as always and Hao almost forgets about his inner turmoils when Hanbin starts speaking. "The food is delicious, you're a very good cook."
"Oh thank you Hanbin, I'm glad seeing you both enjoy the food, it really makes me so happy to know how times have changed", she replies, shifting her gaze to Hao for the last part of the sentence.
Hao has gone stiff, bracing himself for a conversation about his past while Hanbin who is quick to notice everything about him takes his hand under the table.
"So what happened to you this time? who did this to you?", she then asked.
He couldn't reply, not if it meant lying to another of the very few important people in his life. Luckily Hanbin , empathetic as ever replied for him. "He was attacked by an evil man two nights ago, I found him in time to prevent further injuries."
Hearing Hanbin lie for him, made Hao frustrated but also relieved, in that moment he made the mental promise to himself that he would prevent this situation from occurring again , that he would find a way to make it right somehow.
"And I'm so glad that you did darling, I hate seeing Haohao in bad shape again", the older woman interjected. "He made it so far, you know when I started taking care of him, he was almost sick, he wouldn't eat. Everyday he came back from that company, looking like a ghost, he was so close to falling apart. "The pain in her voice resonated through the room, it was clear that she cared greatly for the celebrity. "Still he was always gentle and kind, and even tho the eating issue got better it took until recently, when maybe some special circumstances occurred, he truly started to seem alive." This time she finished the sentence looking at Hanbin.
Judging from the way he beamed at him, Hanbin had understood the very obvious implication in that statement. That affectionate gaze alone, stilled the nervousness Hao had felt upon the heavy conversation.
After that the conversation turned more lightly, they finished the meal in ease and when eventually the older woman left reassured that Hao was doing fine, she left enough food for the both of them to survive the next few days.
The next few days passed comfortably and quietly, Hao's arm was already a lot better, and he slowly began his schedules again, since his fan meeting was now approaching fastly.Hanbin had gone back to his usual daily routine, being in the park in the mornings and working in the evenings.
