Hi before I start posting my first story, I wanted to apologise in advance if my work isn't perfect. English isn't my first language so my grammar and word choice might be a bit clumsy sometimes. I hope you still like the story, please don't hesitate to interact and let me know what you think. <3

Hanbin finally arrives home after a very long day, he spent his morning busking in his usual spot and then went to work. He works part time at a chicken restaurant to help support his aunt, who basically raised him. He is very grateful to her, since she took him in after his mother's death when he was 15 although already being pretty poor and barely being able to provide for her son Yujin. Completely exhausted he dropps on the couch in the living room , after a few seconds Yujin excitedly enters the room.

"Hanbin hyung you're home!"

"Is auntie not home yet?" Hanbin asks the younger .

"No she's probably still at work."

"Have you eaten yet?" Hanbin asks.

"It's okay. I'm not to hungry anyway" Yujin replies after shaking his head.

Hanbin feels bad for the boy. He can feel that the boy is hungry but doesn't want to burden the older."It's okay Yujin-ah. I'll start cooking in a few minutes, but you can already set the table. It shouldn't take long."

"Okay hyung!"

Hanbin takes out his phone and sees a new message from his best friend and coworker Taerae.

Manager-nim:

Hey bingbing did you see SOLAR's new song. It's really cool, you should do the dance challenge.

The message makes Hanbin smile, he knows Taerae is a big music fan, especially of the famous idol and Soloist Zhang Hao, who is in the same entertainment as the 5 member group SOLAR, which is the one mentioned in the message. Even though Taerae is working with Hanbin at the chicken restaurant a few nights a week, his main activity is studying music management/production. Hanbin himself always dreamed of being an idol, he was actually going to start training but a few months after he started, his mother fell sick so he decided to give up his dream to take care of her. He thought of starting again after his mothers death but since his aunt had helped with paying the hospital bills and taking care of him , it just didn't feel right to abandon her. So instead, he finished school while also working part time to help provide for the little family. He never lost interest in singing and dancing though, which is why he either spends his free time busking or filming dance videos for his social media. After being lost in thoughts for a few minutes he gets up again , to start cooking. After creating a simple dish he sits down at the table with Yujin, who seems to be concentrated on his phone.

"Is everything okay ?" he asks the younger.

"Yes. It's just that Gyuvin currently doesn't have time to hang out, so we can only text. I hope he has time soon." Yujin replies.

Gyuvin is one of Yujin's best friends and also one of the SOLAR members. Apart from Gyuvin the group also consists of four other guys: Jiwoong , Ricky, Gunwook and Matthew. Hanbin leans back in his chair and lets out a sigh. It's not that he dislikes the group or any of the members, they just sometimes remind him of the career he never got to have. Especially on days like this when they release new music, he can't help but feel a tiny bit of resentment. He actually used to be friends with Matthew as they took dance classes together and started training together, but as Matthew got closer to his debut and Hanbin spent all his time either working or visiting his mother in the hospital, they just kind of grew apart and eventually lost touch.

Hanbin gets up and sets apart the rest of the food, so his aunt would have something to eat after her long shift.

"I'll go to my room, tell me if you need anything" he says to Yujin who is still fixated on his phone.

"Okay good night hyung."

"Don't stay up late, you have school tomorrow." Hanbin adds.

"Okay" Yujin rolls his eyes at the older's nagging, but he also knows that his last year of highschool is important.
