Chapter 13

"We should start now with the dance before I tell you more embarrassing stuff about me."

"Why would you be embarrassed, everyone struggles" Hanbin tries to reassure Hao. "But yeah we should start, don't laugh at me if I'm doing badly though."

"From what I've seen you're a very talented dancer, I don't think you need to worry." Hao's reply makes Hanbin's heart flutter, he actually learned Hao's choreography beforehand but he decides to pretend he didn't for now. Just like that Hao starts teaching him the choreo, cutely scolding him when he messes up, which he may or may not do on purpose.They are both having a lot of fun and are laughing a lot. Just as they finally finished filming, raindrops suddenly start to fall.

"You didn't bring a jacket right?" , Hao asks.

"No ... It wasn't supposed to rain."He gets cut off by Hao, "Well , I guess you'll have to come in for a while then, it probably won't rain for long."

Hanbin is startled by the sudden request, his heart starts beating faster, but the other boy doesn't give him time to process what just happened. Instead he takes Hanbin's hand and starts pulling him towards the entrance of the building. Here they are again, in the hallway where it all began.They enter the apartment, Hanbin is astonished to see everything beautifully decorated in different light shades which gives the whole place a warm and happy vibe.

"Are you hungry? I could make some food" , he gets asked by the home owner.

"You can cook?" he asks.

"Well if you call making basic recipes, cooking then I guess yeah", the reply makes Hanbin laugh. "Is there anything I can help with, I'm doing quite okay with cooking myself."

"Well I hope you are otherwise you wouldn't be a very good restaurant employee", now they are both laughing. "Should we make Kimchi fried rice?" Hao then asks.

"You have Kimchi at home?" Hanbin can see that Hao suddenly looks preoccupied after that question. 

After a few moments Hao replies: "Yeah there was a time I struggled with food... a bit , the landlady somehow noticed. She visits the building sometimes, she likes to look at the yard while sitting on the bench we were at earlier. Anyways , when she noticed she started bringing me side dishes sometimes, that includes Kimchi."

Hanbin obviously can't hide the fact that he is worried because the idol quickly adds: "But I'm doing better now, you don't have to be worried."

Hanbin knows there is more to the story but he can sense that the other is not ready to talk about it. He is reminded of the night they met, he already got a feeling of food being a sensitive topic then."Well then I'm sure it will taste amazing, I'll help you", Hanbin tries to lift the mood. And it seems to work as a smile slowly forms on the celebrity's face again.

After preparing the food they sit down at the table to eat. Hanbin notices Hao staring at him. "I told you a lot about myself, well at least more than I have told anyone else, can you... would you... tell me something about you?" Hao seems quite shy in that moment which Hanbin finds cute.

"My life is probably quite boring compared to yours." he responds.

"I just want to know more about you and get to know you, so I personally think everything about your life is very interesting".

Hanbin can see Hao blush after that comment, but he can't judge him because he can totally feel his own cheeks heat up too.

"Okay you told me about your family so I will tell you about mine. I live with my aunt and my cousin. My aunt has been taking care of me ever since my mother died a few years ago because of an illness, I don't even remember my dad; he left when I was very young. Now I try to support my aunt as best as I can, because even though she struggled financially she took me in and cared for me. She works very long shifts at the hospital as a nurse. So while trying to help financially, my main job is helping taking care of Yujin, my cousin. It's the least I can do." The words just flow out of him.

"I'm sorry about your mother, it must have been so hard for you. I don't think your life sounds boring at all. I think it's amazing. You seem to be incredibly hard working. And you are an amazing person for doing your best to care for the people close to you.", Hao says with teary eyes. For a while they just look at each other, just being comforted by the presence of the other.
