Hao is woken up the next morning by frantic knocks on the hotelroom door. He slowly stalks closer to the door, feeling absolutely scared. When he stands only inches away from the door, he hears a familiar voice shouting at him through the door. He quickly opens the door and is met with a very disheveled version of his manager.
"Why aren't you answering your phone, do you know how worried I was when I couldn't reach you, you should have been down 20 minutes ago what happened?!"
Hao still sleep drunk after a very restless night in which he had woken up countless times feeling somewhat anxious, just blinks at the other man, passing him a bottle of water. He then walks back to the bed and reaches for his phone, the battery must have run out after the call with Hanbin and with the absolute turmoil in his mind the night before he must have forgotten to attach it to the charger. This also explains why his alarm didn't ring causing him to be late for his schedules.
"I'm sorry, my phone died. I somehow forgot to charge it during the night. I'll get ready as fast as I can to not cause any further delays", he ends up apologising to his manager.
Finally on his way to his schedules, he can't help but realise that the streets that felt comforting the day before now trouble him. He feels suffocated from anger and frustration , because he constantly tries to not let his parents affect his life and thoughts, but they still managed to get under his skin. He feels so frustrated he doesn't realise his manager talking to him about his schedules that day.
"There is something I want to do, will you help me?"
His manager looks at him curiously from behind the wheel.
"What is it?", he asks.
"I want to try ... to talk to my parents." he stutters, not even being able to bear the thoughts of being in the same room as his family.
"No.", his manager replies in absolute sternness.
"Please, I know it sounds stupid but I need to try one last time to get them to either accept the choices I've made... or at least get them to stop coming after me. I don't want to... I can't live like this anymore", he pleads.
His manager still has disapproval written clearly over his face but he at least seems to consider the idea.
"It doesn't have to be today, we can take a bit of time to come up with a safe detailed plan, I won't put myself in danger, I promise", Hao pushes.
"Of course you wouldn't be in danger, I would personally accompany you , as would at least three body guards. I just think they're too insane to be reasoned with. I don't know if it's worth it to risk it. Even though I obviously agree that you deserve to be free of them."
As always Hao can only feel grateful towards his manager. "So is that a yes?"
The man only sighs in exasperation. "I think we need to talk a lot more about it, tonight, we cannot take rash decisions we need to think this trough properly"
