Zhang Hao is pretty much the most famous, sucessful soloist in the country, however his life definetely isn't as perfect as it seems to be.
Sung Hanbin is a talented boy who got unfairly robbed of the opportunity to have the career he always wanted...
It's crazy to Hanbin how comfortable he feels around Hao.
The envious kind of feeling he had at the beginning because of Hao's career are long forgotten. He still thinks about ways to improve his career but in that moment, the thing he is most interested in, is the boy right in front of him.
He has just been telling the other about his very messy work shift which made Hao laugh. The other's laugh fills Hanbin with a warm happy feeling.
"So that is why you're covered in sauce", Hao says while laughing.
Hanbin looks down at his stained, drenched shirt, he didn't have a chance to change, he suddenly feels very conscious about his appearance.Hanbin is startled when Hao suddenly stands up.
"Come, we need to get you cleaned up, I'll lend you some clothes."For a moment Hanbin can only stare at his friends extended hand but then he quickly grabs it.
He is reminded of the time when they filmed the video challenge, when Hao took his hand and dragged him to the building.He couldn't explain it but it somehow just feels right, comfortable holding the celebrity's hand.
Back in the apartment Hao quickly rushes into his room and comes back a minute later with an oversized white shirt and a black hoodie vest. "Here, these should fit, you can clean up in the bathroom, I'll make us some tea"
Hanbin takes the clothes and quickly goes into the bathroom. The first thing he notices is the big amount of skincare that seems to be everywhere. He himself has very simple skincare routine but he doesn't really know how to do it properly. He quickly washes up and changes into Hao's clothes. They have a nice fresh coconut scent on them probably originating from the celebrity's perfume. The clothes also feel really soft and cozy, which makes Hanbin feel comfortable and at ease. He leaves the bathroom again to see Hao sitting on his couch with two steaming cups of tea in front of him.
Hanbin sits down next to his friend again. The conversation he had with the security guard keeps weighing on his mind."Can I ask you something?"
"Sure what is it", Hao replies.
"I spoke with the security guard earlier when I arrived here. He seems to genuinely care for you..., why?" Hanbin really hopes he doesn't make the other boy feel uncomfortable.
"You remember last time when I told you about the landlady bringing me food? The security guard is her husband, he also started taking care of me when I... I... I... I'm sorry I can't really talk about it", he let's out a big sigh before continuing. "They both are basically my family , I don't know what I would do without them."
Hanbin tears up, listening to his friend. He can sense the celebrity has been through a lot of pain in his life."You don't have to tell me but please know if you ever do wanna talk about it, I'll be right here to listen."
Hanbin turns his body into the other boys direction and puts his arms around the other boy. After a few seconds he releases Hao again from the hug as he can feel the other stiffen in his arms. "I'm sorry I wanted to comfort you, I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable." ,he quickly says.
"I'm sorry , you don't make me uncomfortable at all, I'm just sensitive to touch so I was surprised... Could you maybe give me another hug?"They both start blushing in that moment but Hanbin follows Hao's request. This time Hao hugs him back and they both stay like that for a while just feeling safe in each other's embrace. When they finally separate they can both feel a sense of security they never felt before.
Hanbin doesn't want to destroy the peace but so many things are still distracting him."The guard also said something about, how you usually don't have guests , except unwanted ones, can you tell me what he meant by that.", he can't stop himself from asking.
"Oh that... Remember what I told you about my family before? How they don't accept the career I chose. They came to Korea a few times to try to make me comeback. It wasn't easy for them to contact me when I was a trainee, since I was always surrounded by people. After I debuted they kept harassing me... they tried some ridiculous things actually. "
"But they're your parents how can they do that?!", the things Hao said made Hanbin feel very protective once again.
"I have no idea , how it all got so far. There are probably not a lot of parents that would bribe a company and try really hard to mess up my whole career."
Hanbin doesn't know how to respond, he knew the relationship between Hao and his parents was bad but this is a whole new level."They actually tried to sabotage you, their son, who is amazingly successful?" Hanbin just can't process the idea.
"Yeah they went to my company's former CEO and tried to bribe him to fire me but I am the most successful artist, he obviously couldn't do that. However he sold them informations about me and then used that money to gamble. At some point they stopped interacting with him since they didn't need him anymore but he was already addicted to gambling and then became indebted. I guess he became miserable and blamed me for that which is also why he did what he did..., but I had no idea what was going on. I found out all of this way later. In the end he tried secretly taking money from the company for his addiction but he got caught and the board of shareholders dismissed him. My parents used the informations they got, to harass me, contact reporters, helped sasaengs , tried to bribe staff to do things to me, like poison my food or drinks...", at some point during his speech, tears started to roll down, the celebrity's face.
Hanbin is on the verge of crying himself, it pains him so much that the other had to go through all that. He doesn't know what he can say so instead he just hugs him again. He can feel the other boy crying against his shoulder, so he just holds him tightly patting his back , waiting for him to calm down again.
