Zhang Hao is pretty much the most famous, sucessful soloist in the country, however his life definetely isn't as perfect as it seems to be.
Sung Hanbin is a talented boy who got unfairly robbed of the opportunity to have the career he always wanted...
After a while Hao calmed down again, Hanbin can see how exhausted the other is.
"I'll go home now. I'll return your clothes soon.", he doesn't want to impose anymore. He wants to let the celebrity rest, but before he can get up, he feels a hand clutching on to his.
"No please don't leave, please stay a bit more. I'm scared of being alone." the fear in Hao's eyes almost makes Hanbin tear up.
He pulls Hao into his side and speaks in a very gentle voice. "I will make sure nothing bad happens to you, you're not alone anymore."
Hanbin can feel the pace of his heart picking up, as the other boy is completely nestled against him. He tries to gain control over the situation again, but it's no use denying that he is already completely lost in the way the other makes him feel.He slowly caresses the other's back, thinking about how natural the whole situation feels.
Eventually the celebrity falls asleep on his shoulder. As careful as he can, he gets up and gently lays the other boy on the couch.
He tries to find a blanket in the unfamiliar Apartment, he is too shy to go into the bedroom, he doesn't want to overstep boundaries. Luckily he finds a blanket in a cupboard in the living room. For a while he just sits next to the sleeping boy, being completely mesmerised by how handsome the other looks in his sleep.
When he realises what he is doing, he mentally face palms himself. He quickly leaves the apartment feeling incredibly embarrassed. "What am I doing? He is an idol. I need to stop being delusional. I am his friend, the last thing I'm going to do is make him feel uncomfortable."
He continues his inner monologue the entire time walking home. He tries very hard to convince himself that his feelings for Zhang Hao are purely platonic.
Manager-nim: How did it go?
Bingsu:
It's crazy how perfect something can seem, while it's actually really not.
Manager-nim: What are you talking about? Did you completely loose your mind now.
The meaning of Hanbin's message is unclear even to himself. The evening made him think about a lot of things.
First of all Zhang Hao seems to live the perfect life but Hanbin knows that isn't the case. The celebrity seems to be loved by everyone but Hanbin now knows that the people whose love the boy needs most, somehow don't. Hao seems to have the perfect career, but even that is not true knowing the treatment he had to endure from his company. Lastly and most importantly the bond ("friendship"how Hanbin calls it) the two boys share is special to Hanbin but he is sure that Hao doesn't feel the same way.
The only thing he is sure of in that moment is that he is going to make sure the other boy doesn't have to go through anything alone. He decides to make it his personal mission to make sure Hao can start living a bit happier and he will be by his side to make sure he doesn't feel lonely.
—————————
When Hao wakes up the next morning his eyes hurt from all the crying he did the former evening. He sits up still wrapped in the blanket he can't remember getting. He then realises that for the first time in forever he actually slept through the night, which is weird because he usually suffers from insomnia. He starts feeling immensely embarrassed about the way he acted around Hanbin the night before.
"Hanbin must think I am a complete mess now, he probably will not want to see me again... Why did I act so clingy, omg, how embarrassing", he thinks to himself.
He can feel a weird feeling of warmth spreading in his stomach, when he thinks about the way Hanbin held him while comforting him. He dismisses the weird longing feeling inside of him, with the explanation that he just isn't used to someone caring for him. Especially not if that someone is a charming, nice, sweet, talented, handsome boy.
He wishes to sincerely apologise to Hanbin for turning into such a mess, when they were just casually hanging out. However he feels so ashamed for the way he acted, that he can't bring himself to reach out to the other boy again. He decides to go to the company and bury himself in work, like he always does when something is on his mind.
He is just about to enter the company building when he hears an excited voice call his name. "Zhang Haoooooo hyung!" Half a second later the air in his lungs is squeezed out by a tall happy puppy-like boy wrapped around him.
"The other members are busy but I really want to check a café nearby because they introduced a special mango menu. Please come with me?"
Hao just can't resist Gyuvin's cuteness and since he doesn't have any strict schedule until later that day, he quickly agrees to go with the younger. They realise that they are definitely not the only ones who want to try the new menu because the café is completely filled with people. Since Gyuvin's mango obsession is pretty unstoppable they still decide to go in and just take everything to go.
Luckily even tho they obviously get recognised, the people around them seem to be quite respectful, although a lot of them seem to be taking photos of the celebrities. But at least no-one gets uncomfortably close to them.
"I guess by tomorrow this café will be the most popular one in the city." Gyuvin declares with a grin as soon as they leave the café again. Since Gyuvin couldn't decide on one menu, they just got everything and they now make their way back to the company to have a mango picnic on the luxurious rooftop terrace of the company building. The terrace is basically more of a garden than anything else, it's definitely a safe spot for all employees. Soon after setting everything up, they're joined by the other SOLAR members.
"Woah did you buy the whole café or something?" Matthew exclaims as he sits down across from Hao.
"You must be rich, Gyuvin" Gunwook tunes in.
"Yah, of course I'm not, only Ricky is that rich. This is our dear sunbaenim's treat." Gyuvin replies to his members.
Gunwook and Matthew's eyes widen in unison. "Whoah thank you hyung!" Ricky and Jiwoong also thank him for the snacks, which makes Hao feel really proud. Being a good sunbaenim is something he takes a lot of pride in. They all enjoy their little break, once again talking about all kinds of random topics. They also spontaneously decide to film the dance challenges they talked about in their group chat a while ago.

I think this is the longest chapter I've written yet. Perfect timing to upload it on Hanbin's birthday.
Also why are these two so cute today, I almost cried.
