Four months later.

***
Caties pov.

I woke up in a hospital. My head pounded. Bright lights in my face, a language I hadn't heard before was spoken.

My vision cleared, a nurse and a doctor stood by me.

"Catherine Henley, you're awake! Its your birthday!" the nurse spoke, her lips delayed, it had felt like i was in heaven.

"Awake? Birthday?" I asked, my mind couldn't process what was going on.

"Yes! it's December 5th of 2011! You're turning 19!" She smiled, her smile was a bit goofy.

I smiled back, smile.

My smile dropped "Tom." i looked around, "where is tom?"

"Tom?" The doctor asked.

They looked at each other, confused. "We don't know a Tom. Sorry." the nurse spoke up.

I felt a cold dread settling in the bottom of my stomach. How could they not know Tom? The last thing I remembered was him being there, saving me.. Espen. The memory of Espen's attack came rushing back.

"Espen? What about Espen?" I asked, my breathing became heavier, and my head pounded more, and more.

"Calm down Sweetie, you're thinking too much." The nurse pat my head.

"No! No, Tom Kaulitz. Call him, tell him i'm here, awake." Tears weld up in my eyes.

"Okay, we can try for a 'Tom Kaulitz' what's your relation to him?" The doctor asked.

"He's my, my.. my, boyfriend."

The doctor nodded and left the room, I laid back in my bed, my mind racing. The nurse continued to check my vitals, her expression kind but slightly worried.

"You're in good hands Catherine. Just try to relax, and we'll sort everything out." She said soothingly, but her words felt distant and hollow. How could I relax when nothing made sense?

Minutes felt like hours as I waited for someone to return. The room was cold and sterile, and the beeping machines monitoring my condition was a constant reminder of my fragile state. I clung to the hope that they would find Tom, that he would come through the door any minute and everything would make sense again.

Finally, the doctor returned, her expression neutral and tired. She approached the bed, a clipboard in hand. "We've checked our records and contacted the staff," she began, her ton professional "Unfortunately, there is no record of a Tom Kaulitz visiting or being involved in your case. We've tried everything, so sorry."

My lips parted, i was in disbelief. "No," tears fell from my face.

How could he just leave me here, all alone. I needed him. He knew that when I woke up I would've needed him, he's a prick! I needed him and he left me.

"You're wrong, I know what I saw, what I felt. Tom was there, he wouldn't abandon me," I sobbed, feeling a sense of despair.

The nurse squeezed my arm gently, "There's nothing we can do about any of this, i'm sorry Catherine."

"When can I go?" I whined, wiping my tears with the back of my hands.

"Tomorrow you will be discharged. We're assigned you to a therapist for the trauma you've seen." She gave me a lopsided smile, and let go of my arm.

As she left the room I closed my eyes.

Left over tears fell from my eyes.

Maybe it was for the better that he left.

He'll come and find me, right?
