ICE QUEENDOM 03

THIRD PERSON POV:

Back from where the previous chapter left off, Ruby and Weiss rush at each other as the latter evades a wide slash from the former.

Weiss uses a glyph to jump over Ruby and creates another one in the air to use as an aerial platform to launch down at her opponent.

Her downward thrust is evaded as Ruby uses her semblance to quickly maneuver around the room.

The flurry of rose petals soon rushes out into the hallways until Ruby reforms and continues on her mad dash.

Ruby: (t) I know I can't beat her in this world, so I'll need to head back to the real one and make a new plan with the others.

She continues to run in the manor from the various hallways to down the stairs.

Ruby: (sees the front door) The exit!

She reaches for the door only for a glyph to form on it.

Weiss: I will not let you escape.

Ruby: Please just let me save you!

Weiss: Save me from what? All I see is someone that needs to remember the order of this world.

Ruby: You don't really believe in that, do you?

Ruby: We've had to break the rules lots of time, but it was always so we can help people!

Weiss: And as I've said before, those times has only left destruction and disorder.

Weiss: Here we are all safe and protected.

Ruby: Y-

Weiss: This conversation is over. I shall contain you now.

Ruby: Wai-

The dream counterpart of the Ice Queen slides in for her attack as Ruby closes her eyes to brace for it.

A stab is heard throughout the manor as blood falls to the floor.

Weiss: No...

Ruby opens her eyes as (Y/N) is shown to have been stabbed in her left shoulder.

Ruby: (Y/N)...You...

The dream counterpart smiles before she collapses from the injury.

Weiss craddles the injured captive as she holds her close.

Weiss: Idiot. Idiot. Idiot. Idiot. IDIOT!

Weiss: This is why you need to stay in the room!

Weiss: This is the reason for why this world must continue to flourish!

Ruby: Weiss...

Weiss: Leave.

Ruby: Let me just-

Weiss: LEAVE!

A harsh storm of cold and ice forces the door to the manor to open as Ruby is enveloped within it.

Ruby: Aaaaahhh!!!!

CONNECTION ENDED

Back in the real world, Ruby jolts up from the bed in shock as the others rush over to her side.

Yang: (embraces her) Ruby!

Blake: Are you ok?

Ruby: I couldn't do it.
