THIRD PERSON POV:

After hearing the lunch bell, the students each head back to class as Jaune has fallen asleep at his seat while Professor Bartholomew Oobleck in his usual fast-talking manner continues his class lecture.

The classroom holds some familiar faces as Pyrrha, Weiss, Blake, Velvet, and Cardin are all seen among the crowd of seated students.

Oobleck: Yes! Prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution--more popularly known as the Faunus War--humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie.

He continues to zoom about in the classroom as he points at the location of Menagerie while taking a sip of coffee from his thermos.

Oobleck: While this all must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to take into account that these are relatively recent events! Why, all the repercussions of the uprising can be seen up to this very day!

Oobleck: (zooms around once more) Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?

Multiple faunus students raise their hands as Velvet hesitantly does so as well.

Oobleck: Dreadful, utterly dreadful! Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence! (takes another sip of his coffee) I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang!

Oobleck: (continues) Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorize to be the turning point in the third year of the War? (a hand is raised) Yes?

Weiss: The battle at Fort Castle!

Oobleck: Precisely! And, who here can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?

Unseen by the hyperactive professor, Cardin flicks a paper football at Jaune as it wakes him up.

Jaune: Hey!

Oobleck: (zooms over to Jaune) Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?

Jaune: Uhhhh... The answer... The advantage... that the Faunus...(notices Pyrrha, who's trying to give him the answer) ...had over that guy's stuff...(sees Pyrrha cup her hands around her eyes and goes for the most obvious answer) Uhh... Binoculars!

While Jaune looks pleased with his answer, the rest of the class laughs at him and Oobleck silently zooms back to the front of the class and takes a sip of coffee.

Pyrrha sighs and slaps a hand to her forehead as Cardin pounds his fist on his desk while chortling.

Oobleck: (zooms back behind his desk) Very funny, Mr. Arc! Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject!

Cardin: (with malice) Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier.

Pyrrha: (as Oobleck shakes his head) You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?

Cardin: What? You got a problem?

Pyrrha: No, I have the answer! It's night vision trait. Many Faunus are known to possess nearly-perfect sight in the dark.

Blake: General Lagune was inexperienced, and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured. (turns to Cardin) Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure.
