The Matsumoto clan's eldest son, Momo's twin brother Hiro, is ready to be the clan's leader, it was a role he had been groomed for since he was young.
It was a time of peace, a time of prosperity. But it was also a time of change. Her brother is r...
They made it back to the household. The servants greet them at the gate and welcome them home. The newlywed couple and their families were escorted to the backyard where a lavish banquet had been set up.
Suzu then takes Sayuri inside the new house and into her and Hiro's bedroom. "Let me take off your wedding kimono and garments so I can put on a lighter kimono for you," Suzu said to her.
They stood in front of the mirror as Suzu began to take off Sayuri's wedding kimono and unfasten the garments. Sayuri couldn't help but marvel at the intricate embroidery and fabric quality.
"It was such a beautiful ceremony," she said, her voice still tinged with emotion. "Everything was perfect. I feel so blessed to be with Hiro and be part of his wonderful family."
Suzu smiled, her expression warm and maternal. "I'm glad you feel that way, dear." She gently took off the cotton hood.
Suzu then went to Sayuri's drawers to get a kimono and obi.
"Here, this one will look nice for the reception," Suzu said as she put a pinkish burgundy kimono on Sayuri and then she wrapped the obi around her waist.
Suzu tied the obi into a bow behind her back. The fabric felt cool and smooth against her skin, a welcome contrast to the day's heat.

"Now, let me redo your hair and makeup, and then you can go enjoy the reception." Suzu and Sayuri kneeled on the floor, where she carefully applied fresh powder to Sayuri's face, reapplying her lip colour and blush. Suzu moved behind her and did her hair in a more casual, flowing style perfect for the warm summer evening.
As they finished up, Hiro entered the bedroom. When he sees Sayuri he can't take his eyes off of her. "The reception is ready, you ready to head out?" He asked her as he smiled. "I'm just about done let's go," Sayuri answered as she stood up and gave Hiro a quick kiss on the lips before heading out of the room. The two of them hand in hand, walked through the backyard.
They took their seats at the head table, surrounded by family and close friends. Ayato was sitting beside Momo. Saki, Madoka, Cho, and Gina were at the table as well.
Servants begin to bring out dish after dish of delicious food, each more tantalizing than the last. The aromas mingled in the air, creating a feast for the senses.
Hiro and Sayuri savoured every bite, occasionally stealing glances at each other between bites. The conversation flowed easily, with everyone sharing stories and laughter.
A while later Hiro and Sayuri stand up and ask for everyone's attention. "On behalf of Sayuri and I, we would like to thank you all for coming today. We are truly honoured and grateful to have all of you here to share this special day with us. We also want to thank our families and friends who came for their love and support, and for helping us become the people we are today."
