Momo and Yasuhiro were at the training grounds, practicing their wooden swords Momo, with her long brown hair tied back, was focused and determined as she sparred with her younger brother. He was impressed by her skill and dedication.
After an hour of practicing, they took a break.
"Momo, you're good at this," Yasuhiro said, wiping sweat from his brow. "Thanks, you too," Momo said as she drank some water.
"Not as good as you and Hiro, you both have visions, but it's not like I care if I have a vision or not and I'm not the fighting type," Yasuhiro said
"Don't talk like that brother" Momo said with a serious tone. "And if Father was still here he would be disappointed in us if we didn't support each other."
Yasuhiro smiled at his sister and nodded in agreement. "You're right, Momo. We need to stick together. Besides, who knows? Maybe you have a hidden talent for strategy, You've always been smart."
"Yasuhiro can I ask you something? a lot is going on in my mind" Momo asked him as she sat down next to him. "Of course you can, what's wrong?" he asked her. "You think I'm in Hiro's shadow?" she asked him.
"I mean, Hiro is the heir to the Matsumoto family and all that, but there are times I felt like I had to live up to his expectations, you know. And now he's clan leader, he's married and he's going to be a father... " she added
Yasuhiro listened to his sister carefully, nodding in understanding. "I can see where you're coming from. I think you've always been too hard on yourself. You are your own person, and you have talents and skills. Just because Hiro is the heir doesn't mean you can't make your mark on the world. You are just as important to the clan as he is, including myself."
"Thanks ever since I met Ayato, I started to feel like I could do something for myself. He always believed in me, even when I didn't. I wanted to wait until Hiro and Sayuri come back from their honeymoon but don't say anything" Momo said to Yasuhiro.
"What is it sister?" he asked her "Ayato asked me to marry him and I said yes" Momo answered as she blushed a little bit.
Yasuhiro was surprised and happy for his sister. "Really? That's wonderful news, Momo! I'm so glad you found someone who loves you and appreciates you for who you are I promise I won't say anything." He gave her a big hug.
"Now I get what you mean you worried that Hiro will choose his duties and his new family over us. Our lives do not involve around him, we have our own path to follow, we have each other even if I'm far away" Yasuhiro added with a grin.
Momo looked at him and smiled "Thanks Yasuhiro, I'm glad I can count on you."
"Hello Momo you there" a female voice said. "What was that noise?" Yashiro said as he stood up and looked around. Momo knew that voice "Padma is that that you?" Momo asked the voice
"Wait who's Padma?" Yasuhiro asked Momo. Padma comes out of the bushes just outside of the training grounds. Yasuhiro can't believe what he is seeing. "Is that a Melusine?" Yasuhiro asked again
"Yes, this is Padma my friend and my Alchemy teacher" Momo answered as she walked up to the Melusine. "Padma this is my younger brother Yasuhiro," Momo said.
"Hello, Yasuhiro it's to meet you. I'm originally from Fontaine but my master and I moved here almost two hundred years ago," Padma said to him as she bowed her head.
"It's nice to meet you too Padma, wow I didn't think I would see a Melusine in Inazuma. I used to read all about them" Yasuhiro said looking down at the Melusine with curiosity. "I get that a lot, it's not common for us Melusines to be in a different nation," Padma said.
Momo and Padma told Yasuhiro everything about how they met, teaching her about Alchemy, Hiro already knows about her, the flame lily and how The Melusine wants to help Sayuri with her pregnancy.
"Your learning about Alchemy thats so cool," Yasuhiro said. "Yeah it's very interesting and fun," Momo said.
"So you think Sayuri's pregnancy is high risk" he asked both of them. "I don't know thats why I want to meet and examine her," Padma said
"What were you doing around the brushes Padma I didn't think I was going to see you," Momo asked the Melusine "I was going for a walk then I heard a noise then I heard your voice" Padma answered.
"Is there any chance that I can come to see your lair, I study abroad in Sumeru and I'm currently on summer break?" he asked Padma
"Sure you can come with us" the Melusine answered.
Somewhere in Liyue, Pantalone was walking in the hallway towards a hotel room. As he made is way towards the door, a Fatui agent was guarding it. "She's in here Lord Regrator, we found her In Qingce Village under a false identity," The Agent said as he opened the door for him.
Pantalone walked into the room, to see Kiyoko all tied up in a chair, she was wearing Liyuese clothes but now they were dirty and ripped. Tears were coming down her eyes as she looked at him,
"How the hell did you find me?" Kiyoko said between sobs.
"You weren't as good at hiding as you thought you were my dear Kiyoko," Pantalone answered coldly. "Now, I have business to attend to, so I'll leave you in the care of my men. They'll make sure you're nice and comfortable," he added
"DOES THIS LOOK NICE AND COMFORTABLE TO YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Kiyoko shouted, struggling against her bindings. "You leave me here with these filthy animals?!"
Pantalone smiled sadistically. "Now, now, my dear. These men are highly trained and loyal to me. They won't harm you... unless I say so and as much as I enjoy the sight of your distress, I have to go now."
"Attending to what? to The Akuma Clan, why do they keep ruining me and my family's lives, that bastard Shiro tore my husband away from me " she said as sobbed more.
"Ah, Kiyoko. You're such a drama queen." Pantalone sighed, running a hand through his black hair. "If Shiranui hadn't been so close to The Matsumoto Clan you would have been a family, too bad he's dead," Pantalone said as he chuckled. "WHAT SHIRANUI IS DEAD?!" she shouted at him.
"Why yes, three months ago you should have seen in how the way he died," he said with a sadistic smile as he walked closer to her. "But that doesn't matter now, now that I found you, you can be useful to me" he added. "Useful for what, you monster!" she shouted at him.
Pantalone slaps her across her face hard enough to make her cheek sting. "You will watch your tongue when you speak to me, I didn't kill your ex-husband. So be a good girl and maybe I can reunite you with your daughter" he added
Kiyoko looked in horror "NO! You leave Hairi alone, leave her out of this!" she said as more tears came down her eyes.
"Oh, I'm afraid she's already involved. Since Arlecchino is giving me a hard time, you will help me get your daughter from The Knave and once I have her, I'll make sure you and Hairi can be a family again". Pantalone said with a sadistic smile as turns around and left the room as she started to whale her lungs out.
Pantalone ignores her and closes the door.
