Today was the weekend. I was barely home for full days, I would only come back at nights usually. Although tonight was different, I had a night shift. Jazzy had me cover for her since she's visiting her family. I never knew what to do with myself on days like these. I was reading through an old 'people' magazine I found with Brad Pitt's face on it.

She don't care about my car..
She don't care about my money.
And that's real good cause I don't
got alot to spend.
But if I did it wouldn't mean nothin'

The title being 'The sexiest man alive 2000' only made me more intrigued. It's true, Brad pitt deserved every magizine to have his face on it. He was a good looking guy to be for his age. I put on the song 'Debra' that baby had mentioned a few days ago.

I actually do like it- don't even dare think about telling him.

I look up to see my grandma walking over. I take off my earbuds, "Grandma what are you doing out of bed?" I asked shooting up from the couch.

I tried to grab her but she pulled her arm away.

"You know Janella I can still walk- these limbs are still good until I say so." She waddled over here.

She likes me for me,
Not because I look like
Tyson Beckford.

My grandma is getting old you know. She has back pain all the time, her knees aren't the same but somehow she's still the same cranky old woman she was 20 years ago.

"Well you know what the doctor said." I crossed my arms.

"Oh fuck the doctor." She shooed me away.

I giggled slightly, "But seriously grandma what are you doing out of bed?" I asked again.

With the charm of Robert Redford
Oozing out my ears
But what she sees
Are my faults and indecisions.

"Someone was at the door." She shrugged.

"Oh well who was it?" I asked now furrowing a brow.

"I'm not sure but, you have a visitor." She admit.

"Really?" I asked.

Her house was usually quiet, I mean no one ever passes by this part of Chicago. We didn't live in the nicest area you could say. I never told anyone my address, It's not because I'm embarrassed- giving someone your address just means there's strings attached. I never stay in a place for too long.

"Well did you see who it was?" I asked.

"I think you should take a look for yourself." She shrugged now plopping on the couch.
