Dev's POV
I leaned against a Column of the bridge after climbing back to this side, already clearing her first fear, what I was doing on the other side of the bridge. She just stood there with her eyes looking at the top of my head. I followed her gaze, and placed my hand on my hair, raking fingers through it, while meeting her gaze, nodding my head up to ask what was she looking at.
She just kept her eyes narrow and shook her head in a fast motion. I frowned my eyes and looked at the spot where she was eating her chaat. A question came in my mind, and I looked at her to ask he-
"I saved your life, see?" She beamed, eyes suddenly wide, and a smile appeared on her face. She crossed her hands behind her and just swayed on her feet joined together, back and forth.
My eyebrows were still frowned when I looked at the road, left and right, to see cars passing normally. Then, my gaze followed her, skipping the entire anatomy to the feet, and stayed there for a moment.
She followed my gaze and looked down, stopping to sway, and said,
"Do you feel disturbed if I sway?"
I jerked my head up at hers, meeting her gaze as she tilted her head up in the same questioning manner as me. This time I shook my head, because my first priority looking at her feet was, whether they were twisted backwards or normal.
A ghost won't stop you from dying, Dev.
I was still looking at her face, and in a distant manner. I exactly wasn't looking at her, but distant thoughts kept coming. She looked like a happy soul, no care of the world. Probably she'd change the Snickers ad to chaat advertisement someday.
She narrowed her eyes and I realised I have been looking at her for a long time already. She just made her eyebrows wipe up and down above her both eyes, "Never seen a girl this beautiful huh?"
I looked away at that comment. It made me feel uncomfortable, because it's not right to look at someone continuously after you broke up recently. She seems like a happy go lucky person. And I on the other hand, simply no.
"Why were you eating chaat on the bridge alone? And.. how did you come here, also with a plate of chaat?" I asked looking at her, because I simply wasn't able to digest it.
"Oh, I have my Tiago right there. See?" She pointed her finger towards the end of the bridge. I hadn't noticed before but there indeed, was a Tiago of whitish colour. I don't know exact colour, but it may be not exactly white, maybe steel colour. I wonder how she is so brave to come all alone and then just eat chaat like nothing can bother her.
"How did you come here?" She asked taking my attention away from the car to her. "I just took a bus" I replied.
"You took a bus to come here to.. suicide?" She seemed confused. Maybe noone normal who commits suicide, uses bus as their last journey. I just nodded my head, and lowered my gaze, looking at my feet.
"Do you want some chaat?"
"Do you have more?" I asked without looking at her.
"Yeah, in my car, wanna come?"
I was gonna shake my head but.. then again, I promised to talk to her before I decide to die. So, I instead nodded and followed her to her car. She walked beside me, and I focused on her outfit from the corner of my eyes.
She was wearing a red and black chequered shirt, with a black tshirt inside. Was it tshirt? I don't know if ladies have other kinds of dresses. All my life I was too focused in studies to know these, and my only lovestory ended quite tragically.
