The guys asked me a million questions over dinner, but I was supposed to be the one interviewing them. They asked about my family, my favorite songs, my favorite foods, my MBTI, and a hundred other things. But the thing that had their curiosity the most was how I had potty trained Jinki.
"Well, we started when she was three months old. There are special training kits for this. I knew she was a smart girl, so I thought we'd try. She picked up on it right away." They looked at me like I was the most interesting person on the planet. I continued, "You put this special tray on the seat. It is solid and has litter in it. They get used to that, then you transition it to different trays with holes that get larger and larger until you can take it away altogether." I smiled and made a flourish with my hands.
"That is cool," Wonho said. "I am going to try that with Bomi and Yeorum. They are very smart. I bet they could do it."
"I am sure they could. Well, maybe not Bomi." I smiled back at him. That elicited a giggle from him that gave me butterflies. We all know Bomi isn't going to anything she doesn't want to do.
Just so you know, the combination of his baby face and those incredible muscles is so much deadlier in person. I swooned and naturally, they laughed.
"When I get a cat, you can show me how to train her," Changkyun put his arm around me and smiled. He was very close, and my breath caught in my throat. It made me weak in the knees. He was playing his bias card very well.
"I want to get a cat just so I can teach it how to use the toilet," Minhyuk came up behind me and put his face next to mine, resting his chin on my shoulder and effectively separating me from Changkyun. Honey laughed and smiled with those dimples. I was most certainly in trouble now.
"You are crowding her, back off a little," Kihyun came to my rescue, pushing them away so that he could sit beside me. When he smiled at me, I felt another attack. I didn't want to be rescued. Hyungwon and Shownu were laughing at the whole thing. The next 4 months were going to be torture.
We went for an after-dinner walk and took a selca together. That was the photo I used to announce the tour project to my followers later that night. I felt like I could hear them screaming through my phone. The comments started and went so fast that I could not keep up. As I expected, I got dozens of requests to give them messages or to find out something personal. Others said they were jealous, but most were excited about the content that was going to come their way. They knew this was as close to first-hand as they could get.
It always made me angry when I had negative comments. It didn't happen that often, and when it did, I could usually tell by checking their profile that it was just someone from another fandom trying to start trouble, or it was a jealous KMBB trying to bully me. I usually blocked them and moved on. A few times I had to report an account, but not often. I do not engage with them, and I do not tolerate nasty comments.
In my post, I promised a video greeting from the guys. We weren't planning out things like that, they were going to be spontaneous. There would be some things planned, but I wanted it to be free and fun.
When we got back to the hotel, they came to my room to get Jinki. They recorded the greeting, and I posted it. My girl looked very proud to be surrounded by Monsta X. I had taught her well. Jiho, the social media director, would be sharing the photo and announcement on their pages too. She had already been sharing posts that hinted at something coming up. We would be collaborating throughout the whole tour to coordinate our posts.
My followers started calling Jinki the unofficial mascot of the tour after I shared that video. We were off to a good start. We loosely planned the week and I let them choose the spots we would go to visit. We were doing a group outing the first day, then the guys would split off on their own. At that point, I would have time with each individually. They called them dates. A girl can dream, right?
