On the way back to the hotel, I texted Kyunnie from our group chat to check on my girl. I figured he was still out with Jooheon, but I just wanted to check in. I texted him and he responded with a photo of the three of them having a treat. He said they would be back in a couple of hours, in time for our date.
My butterflies kicked up when I read that. I replied with a smiley face since I couldn't manage actual words. I went to the hotel restaurant and had a light lunch then went to my room for a nap. I had been up since 5 AM and I was sleepy. I set an alarm to make sure I woke up in time to get ready. I wanted to take extra time to look really good for him. He had seen me looking like crap already, so I wanted to make him forget that.
I tried to sleep, but I was too anxious. I got up and went to the pool. The cool water helped quench the heat in my body. I noticed a few Monbebes hovering about, but I pretended not to. I just wanted to relax.
I got back to my room, showered off, shaved my legs, put some soft beach waves into my hair, smoothed on scented lotion, and fixed my makeup. I slipped into the sundress I had been saving for the night and fastened the ankle straps of my cute black sandals.
My dress was violet purple with a sheer black mesh overlay covered in tiny, embroidered flowers. The spaghetti straps tied at my shoulders and the bust had ruched layers, which made the girls look great. The high-waist skirt had a bit of a flare to it and flowed around my legs when I walked. It hit a little above my knees, showing off my legs and camouflaging my tummy and hips. I added my short denim jacket to complete the ensemble.
I smiled at my reflection, feeling confident in my look. I smelled my rose and smiled at the memory of my Hyungwon date. It had been very fun and comfortable. I would have enjoyed a second date with him. With all of them, really. There were seven lucky women out there somewhere waiting for these men to find them.
I was ready early and decided to work on my posts. I had them all lined up to start sharing when the tour kicked off. I didn't want to give too much away about where we were going on our dates. I felt it was best to hold off with specifics, but I had been telling my readers what fun I had been having with them.
I had just settled in at the desk with a cup of tea when someone knocked. I wasn't expecting Changkyun yet, so I was curious who it was. I peeked through the peephole and saw Minhyuk. My stomach did a little backflip at the sight of him. That caught me off guard.
I opened the door and he greeted me with a smile and a fancy little box of chocolates. He knew me so well already. I smiled and took the box with both hands, trying to remember my manners. I stepped back and invited him in.
"Rileigh-shi, you look amazing. Your date is going to love it," he just stood there and looked at me.
"Thank you, MinMin," I blushed. I felt heat growing in me under his gaze.
He stuttered for a second, "I um, I wanted to apologize... for earlier with my brother. I should not have done that here. We should have handled that in private. We had set some rules and he broke them." He looked down at the floor and then back up at me.
"You don't need to apologize. I was a bit shocked, but I am fine now. It was completely innocent. He was a perfect gentleman. Jinki got upset and scared though. I was more worried about her than anything." He looked so upset that I wanted to comfort him. I put my hand on his arm. "We are both okay."
"I am glad to hear that. Where is she? I don't see her." He looked around the room for her.
"She is out with Changkyun and Jooheon." His face darkened for a moment, but then his smile reappeared.
"She will have a good time with them. That is not the only reason I came. I wanted to make sure you are doing okay after... our date." He leaned in a little closer to look into my eyes like he was searching for something. He put his hand on my arm and squeezed gently in a gesture of reassurance.
