24 - Bad Liar

I got a message from Minhyuk while I was in my meeting. I do not typically keep my phone on during meetings, but that had changed since my guys were on the opposite side of the globe and we still had business to discuss sometimes. Plus, I missed them.

I excused myself and replied to him that I would be finished soon. He asked me what time I would be home so we could video chat. My stomach tightened. I felt excited and nervous at the same time. I had no idea what he wanted. Was it business or personal? Did he miss me and just need to see and hear me too? I was probably making more of it than it was. There was probably something to do with the blog and video was much easier for us to communicate.

Right on time, he called me on video. But it wasn't just Minhyuk. It was all seven of them. They said they had a question for me and they were smiling and giggling.

"What is it? You guys are acting weird."

"Noona, would you come visit us here?" Jooheon spoke up first.

"I am working on it," my eyes shot to Minhyuk and I thought I saw his smile get a little brighter. My secret plan was exposed. "I am saving for a long trip. A week or two won't be long enough. I should be able to visit in the spring if all goes according to plan."

"We mean soon. Soon, like November. And stay until February." Kihyun added.

"That is soon... and a long time. There's a lot to.... I'm not sure I have enough saved for that. I mean, I paid off the house so..." I was stammering. Kihyun held up his hand and shook his head. I stopped before I embarrassed myself.

Shownu spoke up, "Rileigh-shi, what we are trying to ask is, would allow us to bring you here to attend the awards shows with us?"

"You helped us earn the nominations and any awards we might win. Soribada happened last month. We wished you were there with us and that is when we came up with the idea. The next one is the Asia Artist Awards at the end of November," Kihyun added with that million-dollar smile.

"What? You want me to attend the year-end awards shows with you? In person? With you?"

"You said that one already," Wonho giggled.

"We will cover all your expenses. 100%, just like before." Hyungwon was trying to sell it. I didn't need much convincing, but I was a little scared of how things would be with Minhyuk.

"You and Jinki will stay in luxury, and you will have beautiful dresses to wear to the shows. You will be our queen," Minhyuk's voice was so sincere, and it made my heart flutter. It also made me think I might be right about his feelings. I was leaning more toward the side of 'excited'. And he called me their queen. *swoon*

"Yes!" I exclaimed before rational thought could interfere. They smiled. I smiled. "I've missed you guys so much."

"We've missed you too, Noona," Minhyuk grinned at me. The others did too... I think. I was too focused on Minhyuk to notice much else. Warnings and questions buzzed around in my head, but I chose to ignore them.

That night I talked to Lucy on a video chat. It was morning for her and the best time for us to talk. The kids were at school and Michael was at work.

"I have some news..."

"You're pregnant with Minhyuk's baby!" Lucy cut me off and she completely caught me off guard.

"What? No... that's not... no!" I shook my head to clear the images of a tiny Minhyuk cradled in my arms. "I am going to South Korea!"

"What? When?"

"November! Close to the end of the month, I think." I couldn't hold my excitement. Not only was I going to see the guys, but I would be close to my best friend. "You had better get ready because I plan to make a side trip to Japan."
