The guys were practicing and rehearsing like maniacs to get ready to meet their fans in just a couple of days. This tour would be different from previous US dates. They had chosen three cities to have actual fan meets. The fans had voted and the guys picked three. They would have loved to do every stop, but there wasn't enough time. They did a lottery to choose the winners.

They had thought long and hard about this and they set it up in the fairest way they could think of. There were strict rules to keep it that way. It wasn't free, except for seven winners. Anyone could enter to win one of the seven prize spots. Everyone else had to purchase a ticket. Multiple tickets under the same name did not count for extra votes. This meant if you were buying tickets for you and your friend, it still only counted as one. They hoped this would keep people from buying up lots of tickets to increase their chances. They knew people would still abuse it, so they added a rule that if you won a seat and didn't show, you were blocked from participating in future events.

Those tickets were all entered into the lottery. From those entrants, 150 winners were chosen. If you were not chosen, your payment was canceled. That way no one paid that wasn't able to get a ticket.

The fans had mixed feelings about this. They loved that they had the opportunity to meet the guys and that album purchases were irrelevant, but they didn't like that it was restricted to only certain stops. I addressed it in one of my early posts, explaining that they simply didn't have the time to do it at every stop. I told them how rushed the whole team was during a tour and asked them to understand and just be thankful it was happening. They were still doing Hi-Touch and Send Off at each stop.

I also reminded them to be thankful that there were THREE fanmeets. We don't get those in the US, but there was at least a chance this time.

Now that the tour was about to kick off, it was time to start posting the dates on My MonDiction. I was at the desk in my room with Jinki sitting beside my laptop, ready to work. Sometimes she would comment and talk as I typed, or put her paw on my hand. She was usually right about whatever she said. Just about every time she did that, there was a typo or some other mistake that needed to be corrected. She was a great editor.

I took a sip of my coffee and scratched her head, then started typing. I had already read my notes from my first date with Minhyuk. As I read them, I relived the night. There were parts I would be omitting, of course. I was not going to share my secrets, or theirs, with the public.

I started with how much more handsome he is in person as if that were even possible. I gushed over how much of a gentleman he is. I caught myself and reigned it back in a little. I went into detail about our time skating and wandering the mall, and then the observation deck. I compared it to visiting the Empire State Building observation deck with the others.

The view was different and the experience was different. Neither was better than the other. They were just different. I wrote about the carriage ride through Central Park and how romantic it was or would have been on a proper date. I said I hoped to come back someday with my future love. My inner voice said it was the most romantic thing anyone had ever done with me, date or not.

I sighed wistfully as I thought about how he had held me when I cried, and how patient and understanding he had been when I broke down. Minhyuk and I would always have a special connection because of that whole encounter. He gave me something I didn't know I needed that night. In a way, it was more intimate than my "dance" with Changkyun.

I had planned to release one date per day once I started, but I decided to go for it and do them in two posts instead. I went on about the brunch date with Wonho and our water tour of the city, then my stay-in date with Shownu, which I admitted was probably one of my favorites, and then I ended on dinner with Kihyun. The helicopter date with him had been the most impressive, but I saved that for part two. I ended with a cliffhanger to bring them back for part two. I went ahead and wrote part two because I was on a roll.
