My first instinct was to scream "YES" at the top of my lungs, but was he just reacting to recent events, or did he truly want to marry me? It was a sudden confession, and we hadn't talked about getting married. I couldn't bear it if he changed his mind after all the emotions had a chance to settle down.

"MinMin, are you sure? I mean..."

"Naekkeo, I have never been more sure of anything in my life. I've wanted to marry you for a long time now, I just couldn't ask..." His voice trailed off as we both remembered why. "I'm not doing this right. I'm sorry I didn't have it planned. Let me try that again." He took my hand and brushed my knuckles with his thumb. He looked into my eyes and in the sexiest voice I've ever heard asked, "Rileigh-ya, will you marry me? Will you be my wife? Will you spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Yes, yes, and YES!" The joy that filled my heart could have made the ocean overflow. It was something I didn't think I could ever have with him, so I hadn't let myself think about it too much, but deep down it was what I had wanted for a very long time too.

He kissed me quickly and jumped up. He leaned his head back and yelled, "I'm getting married!"

I sat there laughing at him as he ran down the beach with his arms spread, still yelling. He ran back, fell to his knees, kissed me again, and then took off in the other direction doing the same thing. He was like a puppy with a case of the zoomies.

He came back and collapsed on his back beside me. "I love you, Rileigh-ya. I've never felt this for anyone before. Do you want to go and register it tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow? Isn't that a little fast?" I giggled.

"Not when I've waited all my life to be with you. There is probably a courthouse on the island, or at least close."

"Shouldn't we tell your family first? I'm not sure how they will react to the news. I'm probably not what they envisioned for their eldest son."

He lowered his eyes and that sneaky grin appeared on his face.

"What have you done?" I asked suspiciously.

"They already know. And they are happy. It was a weird time when they were around. They weren't quite sure how to act around you because of all that you went through. I told them I wanted to marry you when I took them to dinner." Suddenly things made sense.

"You really are amazing. But you were wrong about one thing. You are the first man I have ever truly loved, and you will be the last." I stroked his face as I looked into his deep brown eyes. My heart swelled, filling my chest to the point I thought it would burst. He smiled and leaned down to touch his forehead to mine.

I had watched enough dramas to know that in Korea, things move fast once the proposal is out of the way. I didn't doubt my feelings, or his, but I was worried about the repercussions within the fandom. And if I was honest, I was a little terrified there was another sasaeng out there.

He must have sensed my fear because he sat up and pulled me into his arms. "Don't be scared, Naekkeo. Nothing is going to happen to you. If anything, now is the best time while everyone is on our corner."

He was right. It made sense to go ahead and dive in while the fandom was united and supporting us. Who knows what the next week would bring.

"We'll meet with a wedding planner when we get back. I'll bring your family here so they can attend. You can pick the colors..."

"Sky blue, dark blue, and accents of green." I cut him off. "Not that I've been thinking about it or anything." I bit my lip and giggled nervously. How would he react to me having already gone through an entire ceremony in my head? Favorably, it seemed.
