7 - Chaotic

My heart was fluttering, but that was just because I had expected Changkyun. Wasn't it? I was holding Jinki and she was hugging my neck, purring. I was rocking her like a baby and Minhyuk smiled and scratched her head. She pressed against his hand and purred so hard she chirped.

"She really is a baby, isn't she?"

"You just have no idea how correct you are. She is a huge baby."

"Jooheon and I are going for ice cream. Would you like to come?"

Did I dare wreck the peacefulness of my evening with Shownu for more of the chaos of those two? Individually, they were exhausting but together would be mayhem. Before I could decide, Changkyun came out to get Jinki. The men exchanged a look that I couldn't discern. It was gone as quickly as it showed up.

"What's up?" Kyun asked as he petted Jinki. Her purr volume increased exponentially.

"We are going for ice cream... me and Jooheon. Want to come? We invited everyone in the group chat, but neither of you responded.

"Why don't you guys get out of the hallway? Come on in here." I stepped back out of the doorway so they could come inside. Jooheon appeared as the door was closing and joined us. "I never heard my phone. Let me check it." I remembered I had muted it earlier when Shownu and I were watching the movie. I apologized to the guys.

"So do you want to go?" Minhyuk looked at me and then at Changkyun.

"Sure, I love ice cream," I responded almost automatically. What was I getting myself into? I was relaxed and ready to get into my PJs, but now that was not happening.

"I would love to, but I've already committed to babysitting the feline child," Changkyun said as he stroked her fur and leaned in close to her face, which put him close to my face. My heart skipped.

"I assume this place has outdoor seating?" I asked. It seemed pretty common. "She is harness trained and she has a bubble backpack. We could take her along." I looked at Kyun and smiled, hoping he would come along. I could use his calm to balance out the other two.

"OK then. Let's go have ice cream. But I still want her to stay with me tonight." I felt like bouncing but I held back. I put Jinki down and she went straight for Minhyuk. Minhyuk? Not Changkyun? Yes, Minhyuk.

Kyun looked betrayed. I laughed. Jinki rubbed against Minhyuk's legs and looked up at him, making that little trilling sound that she does. She pawed his leg, asking for pets. He bent down and gave her really good scratchies on her head and under her chin. She gave him one more rub and then moved to her Changkyun. He smiled and picked her up. She was forgiven.

I got her harness out and she got excited and started talking. She squirmed to get down since the harness meant we were going for a walk or something. I "dressed" her and then set her backpack on the floor. She climbed straight in and sat down, waiting for her adventure. I didn't move fast enough and she started complaining.

I started to put the pack on my shoulders, but Kyun took it and put it on. We walked to the elevator and pushed the button for the private parking level. He swiped his keycard too because it was required for that access to keep out anyone who wasn't supposed to be there.

Monbebes had already discovered where we were staying, but hotel security had initiated more vigilant measures to ensure our safety. We didn't have to change hotels. We had a little over a week of vacation left at this hotel, then they had to prepare for two nights of concerts. We were heading to New Jersey after that.

I was excited to get to the Atlanta stop. I was going to stay at my house for a couple of nights instead of at the hotel. While I was away, Uncle Larry was going by every couple of days to check on things. He had been watering my plants and driving my car around the block to keep it in good shape.
