Chapter 12

Jungkook went to his room crying and began searching for Mingyu. He couldn't find Mingyu anywhere in the room. As he exited the room still crying, he bumped into Mingyu. Mingyu grabbed him and noticed that Jungkook's eyes were swollen and he was still crying. Seeing Jungkook in this state broke Mingyu's heart. He didn't know how to console Jungkook when he himself was feeling worse.

Quickly, he took Jungkook to the room, gave him some water, and placed his head on his lap, gently stroking his hair with his eyes closed. After a while, when Jungkook calmed down he clung to Mingyu, Mingyu opened his eyes but avoided looking at Jungkook's face, knowing that if he saw Jungkook's swollen eyes, he wouldn't be able to hold himself together. He needed to be strong for Jungkook in such a situation.

"My Kook, tell me what happened. Why is my baby is crying? Hmm? Just tell me the name of the person who hurt you, and they won't dare to talk to you again."

Seeing Mingyu's concern, Jungkook smiled and began to recount what had happened in the dining hall. Mingyu already knew that a day like this would come. "Kook, you must not lose courage like this. You need to be the shield for the Prince right now. If Prince sees you breaking down like this, he won't be able to do anything. You need to fight for both of you, crying like this won't achieve anything. My koo is strong, he is very strong. He can fight with anyone for his love right?" He said in baby voice and hugged Jungkook tightly. Jungkook nodded and decided that no matter what happens, he would be the Prince's shield and fight for their love.

When the King arrived in Taehyung's room, he saw Taehyung sitting there, holding his head in anger. He quietly approached his son and began to encourage him, saying, "Son, if you work in such anger, nothing will go your way. Actions taken in anger lead to ruin. You need to think calmly about what you want to do. If you behave this way, who will take care of Jungkook? Saying this, the King left.

Taehyung thought about what his father had said and remembered Jungkook, who had left crying. Panicking, Taehyung called Jungkook to come to his room immediately.

Jungkook was just entering Taehyung's room when Taehyung started apologizing while hugging him. "Bun, my princess, my love, please forgive me. I should have taken care of you instead of sending you to your room in anger."

"Tae, there's no need for you to apologize. We should take care of each other, not apologize."

Taehyung then sat Jungkook on the bed and noticed that Jungkook's eyes were swollen. "Kook you've cried a lot, haven't you? Don't deny it, your eyes say it all. I'm sorry for mom's behavior. I can't even punish a person behind your tears because it's my own mom."

"Forget about all this, Tae. What will happen next?" Asked with moist eyes.

Taehyung reassured him, "Jungkook, don't worry. Dad likes you. He has no problem with our relationship. As for mom, I'll handle her. Just promise me you won't cry anymore. I can't see you cry. If I ever see you cry I'll also start crying and I'll not stop until you kiss me on my lips."

Jungkook laughed and promised that he wouldn't cry anymore and would emotionally and mentally support Taehyung.

That night, Jungkook slept on the bed and Taehyung on the couch, both in Taehyung's room.

As soon as it was morning, Jungkook left a note for Taehyung and went to the servants' quarters.

When Taehyung woke up, he didn’t find Jungkook in his room. His eyes then fell on the note placed on the side table.
