Chapter 61

Taehyung stood up from beside Jungkook and looked at everyone with tear-filled eyes and in a demanding voice he ordered

"Father, come here."

Hearing Taehyung, the father approached him and bowed. "Yes Your Majesty, how can I assist you?"

Taehyung then declared the most shocking news in front of everyone,

"I want to marry Jungkook."

Whattttt????? Marry a dead person? Everyone was left speechless. How could this happen? This had never been done before. And how could it even be possible? Heck! How can one even think about it?

Nefa and Mingyu ran towards Taehyung. Nefa whispered in Taehyung's ear,
"What are you doing? You’re not in your senses."

Taehyung replied loudly for everyone to hear without paying a glance at Nefa,
"I am fully aware of what I’m saying. I want to marry Jungkook."

Then he turned to the father. Seeing Taehyung's bloodshot eyes, the father got scared.
"As you wish Your majesty."

Taehyung nodded and lifted Jungkook in a bridal style. He carried Jungkook to the hall where all the decorations for his and Aena's wedding were still in place. Everyone followed Taehyung.

It no longer felt like a funeral but a real wedding. The entire hall was decorated, the father was there, the guests were there and the grooms was there. The only difference was that Jungkook was no longer alive.

Taehyung carried Jungkook onto the stage and sat down on the royal chair with him on his lap.

The father stepped onto the stage and looked at Taehyung. Taehyung nodded and the father began reading the vows. After reciting the vows he looked at Taehyung.

"Do you Kim Taehyung, take Jeon Jungkook as your lawfully wedded husband?"

Taehyung replied through his streaming tears,

"YES, I DO."

Taehyung then stood up and laid Jungkook on the table in front of him. He caressed jungkook's face with his fingertips with his tears rolling down on his face
"I am yours for every lifetime, Bun. In the next life, only y-you have to accept me, I-I have already accepted you for every life. Wait for me in the next life and we will complete this unfinished marriage. For now, this h-half marriage is enough f-for me."

Tears filled everyone's eyes. They had never witnessed anything like this in their lives.

Taehyung looked at Jungkook with immense love. Tears fell from his eyes like pearls onto Jungkook's face.

Without taking his eyes off Jungkook, Taehyung said to everyone, "All of you please leave. I want to spend some time alone with my half husband."

People started murmuring. What was happening? Could Taehyung have any ill intentions? But one look from Taehyung silenced everyone and they all left the hall.

Once everyone was gone, Taehyung locked the doors and lay down on the table next to Jungkook.

He pulled Jungkook close, trying to hold him against his chest.

Jungkook's body was completely stiff, devoid of any warmth yet Taehyung felt a strange comfort. He was caressing Jungkook's hair, tears streaming down his face. After a while, he sat up. He gently caressing Jungkook's face.

"Bun please wake up," Taehyung cried. It was hard for him to accept that Jungkook was gone.

Taehyung kept looking at Jungkook. "You didn't even give me the time to properly apologize. How will I live, Bun?" Words failed to come out of Taehyung's mouth due to his tears.
