Chapter 41

Four days had passed since Mingyu had last seen even a glimpse of Jungkook and to forget him, he was spending all his time with Bam. One could say he was using Bam to erase Jungkook's memories.

But Bam misunderstood the situation. The poor guy thought that Mingyu was finally accepting his feelings. However, deep down he knew that Mingyu was spending time with him because of Jungkook's absence. Still, he pushed aside his negative thoughts and started living in the moments spent with Mingyu.

Today, Bam had taken Mingyu out. Mingyu felt a restlessness inside even after saying everything to Jungkook, his heart had not found peace. To ease this restlessness, he agreed to go out with Bam. He knew that Bam was misunderstanding everything that Bam believed Mingyu had accepted his feelings but Mingyu ignored all these thoughts.

They reached a five-star hotel. Bam went straight to the counter, took the key to the room he had booked and walked with Mingyu to the room.

As soon as they entered the room, Mingyu's uneasiness began. The room's decoration made it clear what was about to happen. To make himself comfortable, he took a deep breath and stayed at the door.

The entire room was filled with red roses. Near the window, a table was set up with various dishes and drinks and candles were burning on the table. The whole atmosphere was romantic.

Bam pulled Mingyu inside and lovingly made him sit on a chair, then sat down on the opposite chair himself.

A smile never left Bam's face as he started serving food onto Mingyu's plate. Mingyu spent the entire time just staring at Bam not knowing how to reject his proposal.

Bam also filled his plate and started eating. He noticed that Mingyu hadn't taken a single bite so he put his plate aside, took Mingyu's hands in his own and asked, "Hyungie is something wrong?"

Mingyu saw a different kind of sparkle in Bam's eyes today and felt very bad for him.

"What is all this, Mr. Zheng?" He asked sternly.

Bam realized that the romantic evening he had planned was not going to happen as he had hoped, so he took a deep breath and said,

"Don't you understand? I planned all this for you. I love you, Hyungie. I want to spend my whole life with you." He said this with a smile.

Mingyu looked straight into Bam's eyes, slammed his hand on the table, and stood up.

"It's a shame Mr. Zheng. I have always considered you only as a friend and what did you do? You misunderstood our friendship? You should be ashamed. If I had even the slightest idea about your feelings, I would never have befriended you."

Tears welled up in Bam's eyes.

"You're lying. I know you're lying to me. You knew that I loved you and I know that you love me too. Then why are you denying it now?" Bam's voice held a desperation and pain that Mingyu could understand.

"It's a lie, all of this is a lie. I have never loved you Mr. Zheng. I have always loved only one person."

Bam stood up from his chair. "Who is it? Jungkook? He doesn't even care about you, so how can you be so crazy about him? Don't you see my feelings, my efforts? I've always been there for you, taken care of you. In Jungkook's absence, I've supported you and loved you, yet you still want Jungkook? Why??" Bam was shouting loudly hearing Jungkook's name made him very angry and hurt.

"Yes, I love Jungkook and always will. I have never thought of you in a romantic way."

Bam's heart shattered into pieces after hearing Mingyu's words. Then why had Mingyu been agreeing with him all these days? Why was he spending so much time with him? Was he just using him to forget Jungkook?
