A week passed and during this time Bam pleaded with Mingyu to forgive him for his mistake. Mingyu while maintaining his stance told Bam that if Jungkook forgave him, Mingyu would too.

So, Bam first went to Jungkook to apologize , who forgave him without much thought. With Jungkook's forgiveness, Mingyu also forgave Bam but warned him clearly that if Bam repeated such behavior again, Mingyu would never forgive him even if it meant his own death.

During this period, Taehyung was very busy, or we could say he was engrossed in work just to avoid Jungkook. The King and Queen also noticed a change in Taehyung's behavior but couldn't say anything. Jungkook tried very hard to talk to Taehyung but Taehyung would leave for work before Jungkook woke up in the morning and return home after Jungkook had gone to bed. Jungkook shared his worries with Mingyu but all Mingyu could do was console him.

A whole week passed and today for the first tim Taehyung was present in the palace in the morning and was going to have breakfast with everyone.

Everyone sat at the dining table. Taehyung was completely avoiding Jungkook. Jungkook noticed this but couldn't ask Taehyung about it in front of everyone so he sat quietly.

"Taehyung, is something wrong? I've been noticing for the past week that you've been burying yourself in work and not giving any time to Jungkook," the King asked while having breakfast.

"It's nothing Dad. You're just misunderstanding things."

When Queen looked at Kai he was smirking. The Queen realized that the misunderstanding between Taehyung and Jungkook was part of Kai's plan and it worked.

After breakfast Taehyung remained seated on his chair.

"I have something to say to everyone."

Kai's ears perked up and everyone else got ready to listen to Taehyung.

"Dad, I'm leaving for America in an hour. I'll be back in a week" Taehyung said, maintaining a straight face.

Jungkook felt disheartened. He knew Taehyung was upset because of him but couldn't understand why Taehyung was suddenly angry. According to him he didn't do anything which would make Taehyung upset.

"Going to America all of a sudden? And for a week Taehyung?" the Queen asked.

"Yes Mom," Taehyung answered briefly.

Then he went to his room.

Seeing Jungkook's sad face the King asked "Jungkook my son, is something wrong between you two?"

Jungkook replied crying, "I don't know, Dad. He's been avoiding me for a week."

The Queen glared at Kai. "Alright son, don't cry. Go to Taehyung's room and talk to him maybe you can clear up the misunderstanding," she said looking at Kai.

Jungkook quickly got up from his seat and ran upstairs.

Reaching the room Jungkook knocked on the door and went inside, only to see Taehyung packing.

Jungkook stood at the door for a moment before speaking.

"Tae."

Hearing Jungkook's voice after a week made Taehyung's heart race but he controlled his emotions

"What are you doing there? Come in."

Jungkook went straight to Taehyung, pulled the clothes from his hands and threw them down. Grabbing Taehyung by the shoulders he turned him to face him.

"Tae are you ignoring me?"

Taehyung responded without looking into Jungkook's eyes, "Why would I do that?"
