Chapter 45

Taehyung had announced in front of everyone that he wanted to marry Aena, but he wanted to discuss the matter with her first. So, he went towards Aena's room.

Jungkook was sitting in his room, not shedding a single tear, but his heart was filled with immense pain. Nefa had been trying for a long time to lift his spirits but was unsuccessful.

Jungkook was sitting on the balcony and Nefa quietly sat down beside him.

When Jungkook looked at Nefa, Nefa handed him a coffee mug. Jungkook smiled and said, "Thank you," taking the mug. Seeing Jungkook smile made Nefa feel pity for him. He knew how painful that smile was.

"Kookie, it would be better if you cry. I know how much pain you are in. Please, Kookie cry for me. Cry for your hyung. Let out your pain, please. You can share everything with me."

Jungkook only smiled.
"Sometimes, the rain soaks a fragile house, completely ruining those who live in it."

Hearing such deep words from Jungkook shocked Nefa. Then he responded to Jungkook,
"Sometimes, the rain gives a few drops of water to the withering flowers on a tree, making those wilted flowers bloom again."

Jungkook, after hearing Nefa's words, remained silent for a moment. His heart and mind were filled with many thoughts. Nefa's words gave his heart some comfort but the pain was so deep that it couldn't be expressed.

Jungkook softly said, "hyung, sometimes the pain is so deep that it's hard to put it into words. Maybe that's why I can't cry."

Understanding his words, Nefa replied, "Jungkook, it's not easy to understand your pain. But remember, you are not alone. I will always be with you, no matter what."

Jungkook looked at Nefa and saw truth and trust in his eyes. He felt a bit relieved and said, "Thank you, hyung. Being with you makes me feel a little better."

Nefa placed his hand on Jungkook's and said, "Whenever you feel like talking to someone or just sitting quietly with someone, I'll always be here."

After this friendly conversation, both of them sat quietly on the balcony, watching the rain. The raindrops were falling on their faces, as if washing away their pain.

The silence between them was broken by Jungkook's chuckle. Nefa turned towards Jungkook again. "What happened, Kookie?"

"Nothing, I just remembered when Aena confessed her love to me. You know how hard she tried to win me, and now look, she's marrying the prince."

Saying this, Jungkook stood up from his place. "I'll go talk to Aena," and he went towards Aena's room.

Meanwhile, Taehyung knocked on Aena's room door. Aena opened the door and was a bit surprised to see Taehyung. "Prince? You here?"

With a slight smile, Taehyung said, "Aena, I need to talk to you about something important. Can we talk inside?"

Aena opened the door fully and let Taehyung in. "Yes, of course. What's the matter?"

Taehyung, controlling his emotions said, "Aena, I announced in front of everyone that I want to marry you. But it was important to talk to you first. What do you want? What is your decision?"

Aena listened carefully to Taehyung's words and then slowly said, "Taehyung, I want to take some time to think about this decision. It's a big decision, and I want to make sure I think it through." Although she was happy to marry Taehyung but she was also afraid of Kai.

Taehyung nodded understandingly and said, "Of course, Aena. Take as much time as you need. I'll wait for your decision."

The door was open and Taehyung was facing it while Aena had her back to it. Taehyung saw Jungkook approaching from the doorway and smirked.

As Jungkook got closer to the door, he saw Taehyung and Aena together. He stopped at the edge of the door, thinking Taehyung hadn't seen him.

Seeing them together, Jungkook once again lightly patted his chest trying unsuccessfully to alleviate his pain.

Suddenly, Taehyung took Aena's hand in his own he wanted to make Jungkook jealous. Aena was shocked by Taehyung's behavior and her heart began to dance with joy. She didn't even try to take her hand back.

Then, Taehyung lovingly caressed Aena's cheek and Aena closed her eyes feeling the warmth.

"Aena, I want to make you my queen. After Jungkook's betrayal, I don't know how but I keep getting drawn towards you. Now, it's difficult to stay away from you," Taehyung said, looking repeatedly at Jungkook. Jungkook, standing by the door with his head lowered, listened to everything.

Aena became instantly happy upon hearing Taehyung's words. A small smile appeared on her face and she opened her eyes.

"Taehyung, being with you brings me so much happiness," Aena softly confessed.

Jungkook, who was standing by the door, was trying to hide the sorrow filling his heart. He clenched his fist and without making any sound he stood there trying to listen more.

Taehyung looked into Aena's eyes and held her hand more tightly. "I can't live without you, Aena. You are my life," Taehyung said, then he pulled Aena into his arms.

Aena was instantly happy upon hearing Taehyung's words. A small smile appeared on her face again.

"Taehyung, are you telling the truth?" Aena asked softly.

"I'm not lying to you, Aena." Taehyung thought for a moment and then said with a smile and replied

"I swear on Jungkook, I'm not lying."

Anddd...... Aena completely believed Taehyung's words.

Jungkook, who was standing by the door, was trying to hide the sorrow filling his heart. He clenched his fist and took deep breaths to avoid fainting. His heart was aching intensely. He couldn't feel his legs, but he didn't want to give up, so he stayed there, trying to listen to the conversation.

Aena closed her eyes and felt the warmth of Taehyung's embrace. Her heartbeat quickened but she allowed herself to feel Taehyung's love.

"Taehyung, I can't imagine being away from you anymore," Aena said softly, burying her face in his chest.

Jungkook, who had been listening to everything, tried to hold back his tears. Anger and sorrow surged within him like a storm. He bowed his head and started biting his lips to prevent his tears.

Taehyung ran his fingers through Aena's hair and said, "Together, we can overcome anything. All I need is your support and love."

Trying to hold back her smile, Aena said, "Taehyung, your love is my strength. I will stand by you every step of the way."
