Chapter 31

Kai and Nefa entered the palace looking upset and flustered. Kai upon reaching the lounge, began shouting. Hearing his voice everyone came out of their rooms.

Seeing the Queen Kai rushed towards her.

"Auntie, where is Uncle?" He seemed very worried.

The Queen looked at Kai for a moment. "He might be in his room."

Kai quickly ran to the King's room but didn't find him there. He then rushed back to the lounge.

"A-auntie, Uncle is not in his room." He panicked.

"Kai, don't fool us. We all know this is part of one of your plans" Aena said rudely.

Jungkook heard Aena's comment and wondered why Kai would plan something like this but then he shrugged off his thoughts and focused on Kai's words.

"Kai, what happened?" the Queen asked getting straight to the point.

"A-auntie," Kai began to cry.

Everyone was shocked to see Kai crying. It was hard for anyone to believe that Kai is crying tears streamed down his face he was truly upset.

The Queen grabbed Kai by the collar. "KAI, WHAT HAPPENED?"

Kai collapsed onto the couch, covering his face with his hands. "A-auntie, Uncle sent me a message." He pulled his phone out of his pocket and handed it to the Queen.

The Queen saw that the King had indeed sent a recording to Kai. Everyone gathered around the Queen, including Mingyu and Bam. The Queen played the recording on speaker and they all listened.

Jungkook has betrayed my son Taehyung. He is carrying another man's child in his womb. He doesn't even know who the father of child is. I feel disgusted that I chose Jungkook for my son. How will I face Taehyung and how will I face this world with this disgrace? I can no longer live with this humiliation. I'm going to end my life today. I feel suffocated seeing Jungkook in this palace. Whenever I see his belly, I feel ashamed of myself. I cannot live with this shame at all.

The phone slipped from the Queen's hand and she fell to the ground on her knees.

Kai looked at Nefa and smirked without anyone noticing.

Jungkook fainted in Mingyu's hands after hearing the recording.

Aena covered her mouth with her hand and Bam's mind just wasn't working.

A message was quickly sent to Taehyung.

The Queen squeezed Kai's neck. Kai was struggling to breathe. His face was turning pale due to the lack of blood flow. He placed his hands on the Queen's hands. His veins were bulging.

"Kai I swear to God if this was your plan, I will bury you alive."

Kai freed his neck and started crying in front of the Queen.

"Aunty, why would I do this? I would never hurt Uncle-" he cried even louder.

The Queen was convinced that Kai was behind the plan to kill the King but his tears made her doubt herself.
