Chapter 30

The king stealthily headed towards the post office with the letters because he knew that if even a hint of this reached Kai that the king was going to tell Taehyung everything, he would make every effort to stop him.

King didn't used his phone to message Taehyung instead he used to post letters because in those times, phone usage was not widespread. You could say that phones were mostly possessed by royals and messages sent via phone were not as trusted as those in a letter with a royal stamp.

King Alone left the palace with letters without informing anyone. He had just traveled a short distance when Kai and Nefa began to follow him.

The king saw Kai's car in his car's mirror and realized that Kai was planning something against him so he started driving faster.

Kai also sped up, overtook the king's car and stopped his car in front of the king's.

The king was forced to stop his car as well. Kai and Nefa both got out of their car together.

Nefa had a gun in his hand and Kai approached the king's car telling him to lower the window. He then forcibly opened the door grabbed the king by the collar and pulled him out of the car.

Once the king was out Kai signaled to Nefa and Nefa got into the king's car. Meanwhile, Kai dragged the king into his own car.

Kai threw the king into the passenger seat, tied him up with a rope and placed tape over his mouth so that he can't shout. The king tried hard to escape from car but was unsuccessful.

Kai started his car and began driving down an unknown road. Nefa followed closely behind in the king's car.

After driving continuously for two hours they reached a desolate place. They arrived at a cliff where Kai pulled the king out of the passenger seat and removed the tape from his mouth.

The king saw the cliff and was terrified. He had an inkling of what Kai intended to do to him.

"Why have you brought me here, Kai?" the king asked angrily though his heart was pounding with fear.

Sensing king's anger even in this situation where he can't even save himself, kai poked ahis inner cheek and

BOOM

He slapped the king.

As soon as the slap landedthe king shouted

"KAI."

There was nothing he could do other than shouting.

"You still have the audacity to shout at me? I'll strip you of all your courage today,"

Kai slapped him again.

The king was in a desperate situation. He felt pity for his own condition.

"No matter what you will never get Taehyung. Mark my words," the king said angrily.

Kai slapped him again. The king was now extremely furious and roared,

"KAI."

(Alas! He couldn't do anything more as he was still tied with rope)

Kai slapped him again. Slowly tears started to flow from the king's eyes.

"Wow! The great king is crying,"

Kai laughed loudly.
Nefa was standing a far with lowered gaze.

"I curse the day I brought you to my palace and gave you a place here. I spit on it" the king said feeling utterly helpless.

"What else can you do?" Kai smirked.

Kai then forced the king to his knees. The king was now kneeling in front of Kai.
