Chapter 39

Nefa woke up on the couch in front of the bed while Jungkook had been sleeping on the bed. Jungkook got up, took a shower, got ready, and then woke up Nefa. Seeing Jungkook, nefa smiled, they greeted each other with a good morning and Nefa also got ready and went to Kai for his work.

Before leaving he advised Jungkook not to talk to Kai at all from now on he would handle everything himself. From this point on, he would make sure to keep Jungkook very happy.

Last night, Jungkook felt a bit relieved after pouring his heart out to Nefa. And today, with new hope, he was about to head towards the palace to serve breakfast.

He had decided that he would no longer try to tell Taehyung the truth. He would let Taehyung do whatever he wanted.

Jungkook wearing a fake smile, headed towards the dining hall. When he arrived he saw that everyone was seated in their usual places. Even the queen was present today but she looked really unwell.

Jungkook went straight to the dining table, bowed with a smile and greeted everyone with a good morning looking extremely happy.

For the first time in a long while Taehyung was looking at Jungkook. Today, he didn’t see the usual sadness and tears in Jungkook. Instead, he saw him smiling but he knew it was a fake smile. After the incident with Lee and Wang Taehyung felt a sense of guilt. But today, seeing Jungkook smiling to hide his pain awakened some new emotions in him. He couldn't take his eyes off Jungkook.

Seeing Jungkook brought relief to Kai. He didn’t know what Lee and Wang had done to Jungkook but seeing him safe and sound now was a comfort.

Jungkook served everyone with a smile. When he approached Taehyung to serve him breakfast, he didn’t even glance at him. While everyone was busy eating, Jungkook remained engrossed in his work, never once looking at Taehyung, even though his eyes longed to see him. But what Taehyung had done to him was unforgivable so he chose to ignore him.

Taehyung kept looking at Jungkook every minute but unfortunately, Jungkook didn’t look at him even once. Taehyung couldn’t bear Jungkook’s ignorance and stopped eating he just kept staring at him without blinking his eyes.

Jungkook served everyone food. Everyone had finished eating and Jungkook had completely ignored Taehyung. Everyone went to their respective rooms but Taehyung kept staring at Jungkook, who was busy cleaning the table.

Taehyung's patience ran out. He slammed his hands on the table and got up walking over to Jungkook.

Jungkook noticed Taehyung getting up from the corner of his eyes but still didn't look directly at him.

Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's hand and pulled him.

"In my room within 2 minutes. That's an order, Jeon."

He went to his room looking extremely furious.

Jungkook sighed. He wanted to disobey Taehyung's command, so he cleaned the table slowly taking about 20 minutes. Then finally he headed toward Taehyung's room.

Taehyung was pacing back and forth in his room. He was already angry at being ignored by Jungkook, and now Jungkook was also delaying. He clenched his fists and took deep breaths to control his anger.

Just then, Jungkook's voice came from outside. As soon as Taehyung heard Jungkook's voice he immediately opened the door and pulled him inside.

Jungkook bowed politely to Taehyung.

"How can I help you, Prince?"

Seeing this formality made Taehyung even more irritated.

He lifted Jungkook by the shoulders and pinned him hard against the wall.
