[Fluff]
You and Susan sat by the large bay window in your cozy living room, your hands intertwined as you watched your son, Nicko, play in the garden.
"He's growing up so fast," you whispered, your voice tinged with both pride and a touch of melancholy. You turned to Susan, your eyes brimming with love.
Susan leaned in and kissed you gently on the forehead. "I know," she replied softly. "Every day, he surprises me with something new." She pulled you closer, wrapping her arms around you, and you sat in comfortable silence, watching Nicko's joyful antics.
Nicko, oblivious to his mothers' loving gaze, was now trying to climb the low branches of the apple tree. He paused to wave at the two of you, his face lit up with a broad grin. Both of you waved back enthusiastically, your heart swelling with affection.
You leaned in for another kiss, your lips finding Susan's with familiar ease. It was a kiss full of gratitude and shared history, a testament to the life you had built together. When you pulled away, Susan rested her forehead against yours, your breaths mingling.
"I love you," Susan murmured.
"I love you too," you replied, your voice steady and sure.
Nicko, having succeeded in his climbing adventure, jumped down and ran towards the house, his small feet pounding the ground. He burst through the door, his cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Mama, Mãe, did you see me?" he asked, his voice bubbling with enthusiasm. [Mãe means mother in portuguese]
"We saw you, sweetheart," Susan said, lifting him into her arms and peppering his face with kisses. Nicko giggled, squirming happily in her embrace.
You joined in, wrapping your arms around both of them, and the three of you shared a group hug that seemed to encapsulate all the love and warmth of your family. Nicko nestled between you, feeling safe and adored.
