[Fluff]

You stood in the doorway of the apartment you shared with Maria, watching your girlfriend hunch over her desk, surrounded by stacks of classified documents. The sight tugged at your heart. Maria's shoulders were tense, her back rigid, and her fingers gripped the pen in her hand with a white-knuckled intensity. She looked every bit the picture of stress and determination that came with being the Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

With a soft smile, you padded closer, your heart swelling with love for the woman you adored. Standing behind her, you gently pressed your lips to the back of Maria's neck, feeling the slight shiver it elicited. You knew Maria was trying so hard to stay focused, but you wanted to remind her that she didn't have to bear the weight of her stress alone.

"Hey, Agent," you whispered, hoping your voice would soothe the tension you could see in Maria's shoulders. You planted another kiss on her neck, then another, each one slow and deliberate.

Maria's attempt to protest was half-hearted, and you could hear a giggle bubbling up as your kisses trailed down your girlfriend's spine. It was working; Maria was relaxing, even if just a little.

"You need a break," you insisted, wrapping your arms around her from behind. You rested your chin on her shoulder, nuzzling your cheek against Maria's, feeling the soft warmth of her skin. "Just a little one?"

Maria sighed, a sound that was both exasperated and affectionate. "Okay, maybe a tiny one," she conceded, leaning back into your embrace. The shift in Maria's posture made your heart flutter with a mix of triumph and tenderness.

With a playful grin, you walked around her office chair, never losing contact with her. Standing in front of Maria, you looked into her eyes, seeing the mixture of stress and love reflected back at you. You leaned down, giving her a soft, tender kiss.

As you kissed her, you swung one leg over her lap, gently settling into her lap. Maria's hands instinctively moved to your hips, her grip firm but affectionate. You could feel the tension in her body slowly melting away, replaced by a warm, contented feeling.

"I love you," you murmured, resting your forehead against hers. "You're amazing, and you're going to handle everything just fine."

When Maria finally pulled back, her cheeks were flushed, mirroring your own. "Now, can I get back to my paperwork?" she asked, her tone more playful than serious.

"Only if you let me stay like this," you said, adjusting yourself slightly so you could still cling to Maria without getting in the way of her work.

Maria chuckled, shaking her head. "Fine, but you better not drool on my files."

You grinned and snuggled closer, feeling Maria's body relax further. You placed soft, intermittent kisses on her neck and shoulders, savoring the connection between the two of you. Every kiss was a reaffirmation of your love, a silent promise that you would always be there to support her.

As the minutes passed, you felt your own eyelids growing heavy. The steady rhythm of Maria's writing and the warmth of your shared space made it impossible to stay awake. Before you even knew it, your breathing had deepened, and you drifted off, still clinging to Maria like a contented koala.
