[Angst/Fluff]
WARNING: Attempted Suicide

The summer sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the city park. On the edge of a footbridge, you stood staring at the dark water below. The weight of your thoughts seemed to pull you closer to the edge. Tears streaked your face as the world around you faded into the background.

"Y/N!" The voice was familiar, full of urgency and concern.

You turned to see Cobie, your best friend since college, rushing towards you. Cobie's eyes were filled with a mix of fear and determination. "Y/N, what are you doing?" she asked, breathless.

Your voice trembled. "I... I can't do this anymore, Cobie. Everything's fallen apart. I have nothing left."

Cobie shook her head vehemently. "That's not true. You have me. You have so much more than you realize."

Tears welled up in your eyes. "But I feel so lost."

Cobie stepped closer, her voice softening. "I know you do. But ending it won't make things better. Remember when my mom died? You were there for me every single day. You pulled me back from the edge. Let me do the same for you."

You looked down at the water, the despair still gnawing at you, but Cobie's words were like a lifeline. "I don't know how to get through this," you whispered.

"We'll do it together," Cobie said firmly. She extended her hand. "Take my hand, Y/N. Please."

After a moment of hesitation, you reached out and took Cobie's hand. The warmth and strength of that grip anchored you in a way you hadn't felt in a long time.

Cobie didn't let go. She pulled you into a tight embrace, holding you as if she could shield you from all the pain. "Y/N, there's something I need to tell you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"What is it?" you asked, your brow furrowing in concern.

Cobie took a deep breath. "I love you, Y/N. Not just as a friend. I love you, and I can't bear the thought of losing you."

Your eyes widened in surprise. "Cobie, I... I love you too. I didn't realize until now how much."

Without another word, Cobie leaned in and kissed you. It was gentle, filled with all the unspoken emotions and promises the two of you had shared over the years. When you finally pulled away, both of you were breathless, but a new warmth had blossomed between you.

"Remember," Cobie said softly, her forehead resting against yours. "You're not alone. Not anymore."

You nodded, a faint smile forming on your lips for the first time in what felt like forever. You didn't know what the future held, but for the first time in a long time, you were willing to find out.
