[Fluff]

You nestled into Maria's side, feeling the warmth of your girlfriend's embrace as the two of you sank into the plush couch. The atmosphere in the Avengers' common room was electric, filled with eager chatter and the hum of anticipation. Today was the opening game of the European Championship 2024, and the Avengers had turned their headquarters into a mini stadium, complete with snacks and banners of different european countries. You couldn't help but marvel at how even superheroes had their ways of unwinding.

"Comfortable?" Maria whispered, her voice a gentle murmur that sent a pleasant shiver down your spine.

"Very," you replied, smiling up at her. "I didn't know superheroes could be so into soccer."

Maria's chuckle was warm and reassuring. "Everyone needs a break sometimes. And besides, some of them are more competitive about this than our actual missions."

As Maria leaned in to plant a soft kiss on your forehead, Tony Stark's voice boomed from across the room. "Who are you and where did you leave Miss Paperwork?"

Maria laughed, the sound rich and carefree. "Maybe I'm just full of surprises, Stark."

Natasha slid into the seat next to them, smirking. "It's called being in love, Tony. You should try it sometime."

Tony raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed. "Never thought I'd see the day. Maria Hill, soft as a marshmallow."

Maria's laugh was deep and genuine, her eyes sparkling as she turned back to you, placing another series of gentle kisses along your temple, nose, and finally, a sweet, lingering kiss on your lips.

"I love you," Maria whispered, her voice full of affection.

"I love you too," you replied, your heart swelling with happiness.

The game began, and you found yourself caught up in the excitement, even though you weren't a die-hard soccer fan. The energy in the room was contagious. You watched Thor and Steve debating over the question if Germany or Scotland would win, their competitive spirits as vibrant off the battlefield as on it.

Natasha offered them a plate of nachos, which Maria gladly accepted. "You ready for this?" Natasha asked, her tone teasing.

"I've got a bet going with Clint. If Scotland loses, he has to take over my Rookie training sessions for a week."

"High stakes," Maria grinned.

You admired how effortlessly Maria fit into this world of legends. Despite the chaos of their lives, they found moments of normalcy, moments that felt profoundly human. You felt Maria tighten her arm around you, and you responded by intertwining your fingers with hers, feeling a rush of warmth and security.

"This is nice," you murmured, looking up at Maria. "Thanks for inviting me."

Maria kissed the top of your head, a tender gesture that made your heart swell. "Wouldn't have it any other way."

When Germany's first goal was scored, the room erupted in shouts of joy and groans of disappointment. You couldn't help but laugh along, the infectious joy lifting your spirits. Thor's booming laugh and Tony's mock toast added to the sense of camaraderie that filled the room.

As the game continued, you and Maria exchanged more kisses, each one a testament to your growing bond. You were surrounded by the laughter and camaraderie of friends, but in each other's arms, the teo of you found a world all your own. And for that evening, it was perfect.
