Inspired by Peter Schilling's 'Völlig Losgelöst'

Today, the day of the much-anticipated Germany vs. Switzerland soccer game had finally arrived, and you and your girlfriend Maria planned to ask the rest of the Avengers, if they wanted to watch it with the two of you later that day. Little did the Avengers know, the day would start with a very unexpected wake-up call, orchestrated by you and Maria.

At precisely 4 AM, the tranquil silence of the compound was shattered by the booming, triumphant notes of "Major Tom" by Peter Schilling:

"Völlig losgelöst von der Erde
Schwebt das Raumschiff schwerelos
Völlig losgelöst von der Erde
Schwebt das Raumschiff schwerelos
Völlig losgelöst von der Erde
Schwebt das Raumschiff völlig schwerelos"

As the song echoed through the hallways, making the walls vibrate, you felt a mix of excitement and mischief bubbling up inside you. This was going to be unforgettable.

You watched with anticipation as Tony Stark was the first to stumble out of his room, bleary-eyed and disoriented, clad in a worn-out t-shirt and a pair of Spongebob Squarepants boxers. It was a sight that made you stifle a laugh. He was quickly followed by Steve Rogers, who looked surprisingly composed in his red, white, and blue pajamas, Natasha Romanoff in sleek black sleepwear, and Thor, wearing an elaborate Asgardian robe that was clearly meant for more dignified occasions.

"What in the world is going on?" Tony shouted, trying to make himself heard over the music.

The Avengers gathered in the common room, which was the center of the whole chaos, their expressions a mix of confusion and annoyance. There, they found you and Maria, both doubled over in laughter, clutching each other for support. The sound of Maria's laughter—so rare and beautiful—filled you with joy. It was a melodic, joyful peal that none of them had ever heard before. Seeing her like this, so free and happy, made your heart swell with love.

Tony rubbed his eyes and muttered, "I think my whole life just flashed before my eyes. Since when does Hill laugh like that?"

Still laughing, you managed to gasp out, "Hi there! Just a little wake-up call."

Maria, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes, grinned and wrapped an arm around you, pulling you close for a kiss. "This is what you get for all those late-night meetings," she teased, looking directly at Tony. The warmth of her embrace, the softness of her lips, filled you with a deep sense of contentment and love.

The sight of Maria Hill, the ever-serious Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., laughing and kissing you in the middle of a prank was so absurd that it left the Avengers momentarily speechless. Then, one by one, they started to chuckle, the tension easing into amused resignation.

Thor clapped Tony on the back, nearly knocking him over. "Midgardian music has its charms," he boomed, laughing heartily.

Natasha smirked, nudging Steve. "Guess we should be thankful it wasn't Rammstein this time."

Steve shook his head with a smile. "I think I prefer this over an actual alarm."

As the song played on, the Avengers slowly relaxed, some even swaying slightly to the beat. You and Maria continued to exchange kisses and affectionate whispers, your love radiating warmth and joy that contrasted with the cold early morning. Each kiss, each touch, was filled with a deep sense of connection and happiness. You loved seeing Maria like this—carefree, happy, and utterly in love.

"Alright, alright," Tony finally said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "You got us good. But next time, Hill, warn us before you unleash the German national soundtrack."

Maria, still smiling broadly, gave him a playful salute. "What would be fun in that?"

You exchanged a knowing glance with Maria, and then you both spoke up, "Actually, this whole thing was meant as a proposal." The Avengers looked curious. "We were wondering if you'd like to join us to watch the Germany vs. Switzerland game later today. Consider this our very loud invitation."

The Avengers' faces lit up with understanding and amusement.

"As long as there's pizza," Steve said, grinning.

"Count me in," Natasha added with a smirk.

Thor boomed, "I shall bring Asgardian delicacies!"

"Fine," Tony said, rolling his eyes but smiling. "But next time, just knock."

As the Avengers retreated to their rooms, the compound slowly quieted down, the echoes of laughter and music lingering in the halls. Wrapped in each other's arms, you and Maria stayed a little longer, savoring the rare moment of light-heartedness. The warmth of her body against yours, the sound of her laughter still echoing in your ears, made you feel incredibly lucky.

When game time finally arrived, the Avengers gathered again, this time in the common room, fully awake and dressed in their team colors. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, the morning's prank now a cherished memory.

"Alright, team," Tony announced, still in his Spongebob boxers but now fully awake and holding a tray of snacks, "let's watch this game together. May the best team win."
