While in the taxi, I recalled the day Justin asked me to be his girlfriend. He did it in front of the whole school. It was perfect. I'd be lying if I said I hesitated in saying yes to him.

I grabbed a fistful of my hair, and pulled at it. As if the pain would make everything go back to normal.

"How could you be so stupid? You've always been a good judge of character - why couldn't you see through him?". I scold myself.

Now that I think about it, Justin never really had time for me. He was always busy. I couldn't blame him for that, considering we were both in college. But he might've been lying to me everytime he said he had extra classes at night or on the weekends.

I guess all along, I was the only one in love with him.

The moment I got to Meagan's house, I hugged her tightly and cried my heart out. She kept trying to console me with no luck. When I finally calmed down, she brought me a tub of ice cream and a can of my favorite pringles.

I told her everything that happened at the garden, as I swallowed huge scoops of the ice cream, drizzled with my tears and snot.

She comforted me slowly, until I finally stopped crying. "Look at you. Your eyes are so puffy. You look terrible. All this for a guy who didn't value you? He doesn't deserve your tears sweetie". She said to me.

"I have two options for you. My boyfriend and I got invited to this party. A bunch of rich kids are gonna be there. As well as a ton of hot guys. Now you can either sit here and cry yourself a river, or you can come with me, and try to have a steamy night and forget about Mr jerk". She says, looking into my eyes.

I blink my tears away. "I....I'm not really in the mood to socialize, Meagan. Maybe some other day?".

She rolls her eyes. "No way I'm leaving you alone to cry endlessly. My boyfriend isn't free tonight so you're coming with me".

She pulls me off the sofa, and into her car. "Where are we going?". I ask her.

"Shopping of course. We can't go to the party dressed in rags". She said with a smile.

She drives to the mall, and we head straight for the boutique. After endless hours of trying on clothes, she finally settled for a black leather mini dress, with a plunging neckline. She also buys me a high-end leather mini skirt, and a black lace corset top to go with it.

After we finish from the mall, she drives to a nearby salon. "Tay, do something about her boring hair". She said to the stylist, as she pointed at me.

"Yes boss!".

Tay pulled me into one of the chairs. After looking at my hair for a bit, he said, "Um....I'm thinking deep red highlights and a sexy wolf cut. After we straighten your hair. What do you think?". He asked, as we made eye contact through the mirror.

I wanted to refuse, but Meagan glared at me through the mirror, and I quickly nodded 'yes'.

Not gonna lie, I loved my new look. The party was going to start at 8.p.m. It was 6.30.p.m. when we got back to Meagan's house. I took a shower to calm myself, and enjoyed a bowl of steamy hot ramen with Meagan.

After that, we got ready for the party. Meagan did my make up, and I looked absolutely stunning.
