Rivers' gender reveal was in two days. I wanted to make it special for her, so I went shopping for the perfect dress.

I couldn't help but envision her in an ombre white tulle dress, with beads of pearls here and there. So, I told my idea to the designer weeks ago, and he made a sketch.

He made the dress exactly the way I wanted. I stood admiring it for minutes. I stared at River who was sitting in the car through the glass wall. She was gulping down liters of water, while adjusting the passenger seat.

I picked out a pair of silver dusted loafers for her, some light jewelry, and a hairpin. I threw them in the trunk, not letting her see what I'd gotten.

"You still haven't told me where we're going, Ilay." she said, as she munched on a cookie.

I took her hand as I started the engine. "To the salon. We have to fix your hair." I told her. "Oh... okay," she said, looking out the window.

A while later, we were at the salon. She decided to have the color taken out, and do a trim. The stylists immediately got to work. She had a pretty decent amount of hair for one person.

I watched her hair curl beautifully under the running warm water.

She got back her original chocolaty brown hair which matched her hazel eyes. She looked stunning. I was so pleased that I gave a tip to the stylists.

She said she was tired, so I had a driver come pick her up with another car, while I headed to the cake shop, to make sure everything was going smoothly.

Since only dad knew the genders I was pretty anxious.

The next day, we got Meaghan to do the decorations in the living room. Dad had the menu sorted out, making sure there wasn't a drop of alcohol at the party.

Meaghan had the living room decorated in a lavender, olive and pistachio green theme. She hung up lavender and olive green balloons, with lavender and olive green ombre tulle, with a bit of tinsel and little light bulbs.

The tulle hung elegantly over the buffet area

The tulle hung elegantly over the buffet area. There were balloons, flower petals and confetti of the same theme scattered across the floor.

She added a few touches of gold with the the utensils and cake stand, making it more elegant.

I sighed as I stared at the decorations. Even the party theme wasn't giving off the genders.

On the morning of the party, Meaghan helped River get ready. I couldn't stop staring at her, as I took some fruits up to her room that morning.

I took her hand, kissing her forehead softly. "You look stunning." I whispered. I lowered my head, kissing her. She wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me closer.

"Uh... I'll go check on the food." Meaghan made an excuse before slipping out of the room.

I focused on River. Her kiss was driving me crazy. I groaned. "You're getting more daring these days." I said between our kiss.

I deepened the kiss, as my hands traced her curves. I pulled away slowly. "That's enough. Can't have you getting breathless." I told her. She pouted, then turned away.

I wrapped my arms around her belly. "I'll kiss you as much as you want after the babies are born." I kissed her neck, then pulled up her zipper.

A few minutes later, the party started. Dad was overjoyed. More like he was the one becoming a father, and not me.

I stood next to River, holding her hand.

"The game is easy," Meaghan said. "Bite down on the cupcakes till you see the color pink or blue in the middle. And remember, you need to find three of them."

Next to the buffet table, was a pile of gifts, Meaghan and the others had brought.

We started the game, with River, taking the first bite. I tried to eat faster, so that I could eat more of the cupcakes, since River didn't like sweet food, and I didn't want her throwing up.

Finally, I got blue. I smiled widely. "Oh my God! River, we're having a boy!" I exclaimed, hugging her.

"Calm down, Mr Stone," Meaghan instructed. "We still got two more to go."

Next, River got blue. I hugged her again, as tears stung my eye. Lastly, she got pink. I picked her up, spinning her around. I kissed her, as she giggled sweetly.

"Looks like you got your wish." I said. She smiled brightly. After we found out the babies genders, we opened the gifts. Seemed like everyone else knew the genders except us.

Everyone enjoyed the party. Gabriel walked up to me with a glass of juice in his hand. "Well, look at you doting on the same girl you called a gold digger."

I took a deep breath. "I was blind back then. All I want right now, is to make her stay. But I know River. She'd still want to leave, after having the babies."

Gabriel patted my shoulder. "If you want her to stay, give her a sense of security. I trust you know what I mean."

As he spoke, I spotted River heading upstairs. "Is she tired already?" I wondered.

Before I could make a move, Jace came over, pestering me for booze. As I was trying to talk some sense into him, I heard a shrill scream, followed by a thud.

Next thing I knew, River was at the foot of the stairs, covered in bruises, and bleeding.

"Ugh!... Ilay, our babies... save our... babies." she struggled to speak as her tears fell.

My heart wrenched. "Ambulance! No! Where are the car keys? Where the fuck are they!"

Meaghan supported River, as I ran around the house searching for the keys. I was in tears. "Oh God, if anything happens to River I'll—"

Jace slapped me hard. "Get a hold of yourself. If you don't get her to a hospital, then you'd lose her and the kids." he shoved the car keys into my hand.

"Go! I'm right behind you."
