I sniffle and open the glove box to the bus.
"Anything?" Maggie asks.
"Couple rounds," I offer, taking the bullets out to hand to her. "And one bottle of water."
"At least we know," she says.
I look at the dead bodies and blood on the bus floor.
"Glenn got out. Beth and the kids aren't here. They're still out there," she continues.
I brush my hair back and sigh. I stand up and toss my bag, only a water bottle heavier, over my shoulder and climb down the steps of the bus.
"Okay.. Glenn would go back for the bus," I list. "Beth.. if she has the kids, she'd find a spot safe and just stay there."
"So, we look for Glenn first," Maggie decides.
"And Rick wouldn't leave without Carl- so the two of them would search for Woojin and Judith, who should be with Beth. So, if we find Rick, we'll find the.." I pause.
Maggie steps out of the bus and stands in front of me, waiting for me to finish. But, my thoughts linger on what she said.
"What?" she asks.
"We look for Rick first," I urge.
"You said it yourself. Glenn is on this trail," she says. "So, we look for him first."
"Rick will be looking for the kids. The kids are with Beth. So, we find Rick first to find Beth and the kids."
"We don't know which way they went."
"Which is why we search for them," I say, putting my hands on my hips. "Mags.. we have to find Beth and the kids."
"I have to find Glenn."
"You have to find your sister, too," I rephrase.
She rubs her lips together. "I don't know where to start. With Glenn, I do."
"Hershel-"
"Hyejin, don't."
"You know what he told Michonne and me? Right before he found us?" I ask.
Maggie shakes her head, telling me not to cross that very fresh line and to just stop talking.
"'I pray that Maggie and Beth can do that for each other. Even if it puts them in danger. The thought of them fighting to find one another no matter what- that's what makes me feel better'," I quote just hours ago.
"Hyejin," she repeats my name.
"We have to find Beth. It's what your dad would want. I would know because we just talked about it three fucking hours ago."
She shakes her head. My jaw drops a bit at the audacity.
"Maggie," I plead.
"I know for a fact that Glenn got out. So, I'm going to look for Glenn first."
I poke my tongue to my bottom lip as anger builds. I try to not let it out. The last thing we needed was to be at each other's throats. Especially Maggie and I. We went through hell with the Governor. ANd now, he's killed Maggie's father and ruined our home.
"Fine," I decide. "Then, I'll go look for them alone."
"Wait, wait, wait," Bob says, running over. "What's going on?"
"You and Sasha should go back to that creek," Maggie tells him. "You'll be safe there."
"You said we can't split up," he reminds as Sasha also walks over.
