I'd been running forever. The field of clovers seemed to never end.

My footing is lost and I trip over nothing. I turn around to stand, but the creature was getting closer.. closer.. 

"Hyejin?"

I gasp as I wake up, sitting up straight in the backseat of the car.

"Are you all right?" Morgan asks.

"Yeah," I breathe slowly. "Yeah.. I'm okay."

"We're about to start the dry run. Rick is looking for you."

I pull myself up and out of the car. I shut the door and run my fingers through my hair as I walk over to Rick.

"What's up?" I ask him.

"Do you want to talk before we leave?"

My head still feels hazy from the dream. "No.. No, but if you want to say some words, go ahead."

"You sure?"

"I'm the leader.. but you're the leader," I say, turning his own words onto him. 

He pats my head and walks over to the front of the group.

"I know this sounds insane, but this is an insane world," Rick says to the dozens of us out here.

I smile to myself as I see the old him coming back.

"We have to come for them before they come for us. It's that simple. So, this is where it all starts tomorrow. Thanks to Sasha, Hyejin, and Michonne, we found this herd before they could find us," he continues. "Tobin gets in the truck, opens the exit, and the plan is on. When he's out, he meets up with his team at red- staying on the west side of the road."

"Daryl gets on his bike-"

"Hey, do you see that?" Sasha cuts Rick off.

I look over to where she points, as does the rest of the group. 

One of the eighteen wheelers that was blocking off the herd from escaping the quarry creaks. Dust emerges from under as it slides.

"Fuck," I whisper to myself. 

The truck falls along the rocky hill, leaving the herd awaken by the noise and with an exit out.

"It's open, we gotta do it now!" Rick screams.

"Michonne, take the reins!" I call out. "Oppa, let's go!"

"I thought you were going with Daryl?" Rick asks.

"The walkers at the tractor spot will distract the herd, we gotta get there before they do!" I remind. "Glenn and I are the fastest, we'll be there first."

"We'll circle back around and meet at yellow!" Glenn tells Rick.

"Hyejin, we need you on redirect!" Sasha yells.

"I'll go with Glenn," Nicholas offers.

"You can go fuck yourself," I retort.

"Redirect is the most important thing!" Rick argues. "Let's move!"

"Fuck!" I hiss.

"I'll take Heath and Nicholas," Glenn says, grabbing my arm. "You go with Daryl."

I grab his arm right back. "No. You're not going with that piece of shit, no way!"

"I'm here! Let me help!" Nicholas begs.

As the group continues in a flurry of motion and chaos, I release Glenn. I grab Nicholas by the collar of his shirt and pull him down eye level to me.

"He shows up with one hair missing, I'll kill you, your brother, and your mom and feed your bodies to the herd. I'll dig up your fucking dad and make you watch the walkers eat him, do you fucking understand me?"

"I-I-I do," he says, nodding madly.

"One wrong move and it's your ass!" I warn. "And if he dies out there, it'll be ten fold on you, do you hear me?!"

"I understand! I'l protect him, I promise!" Nicholas cries out.

My face scrunches in anger and I shove him backwards by his face. I take off running toward Daryl, but pause to point at Glenn.

"Take care of the stragglers and circle back immediately!" I tell Glenn. "조심해!"

(trans. 조심해 - 'josimhae' casual dialect meaning "be careful/safe")

"You, too!" he shouts back before running off with Heath and Nicholas.

I huff as I approach Daryl's bike. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, I fucking hate this. Fuck."

"Save the bitchin' for later, let's go," Daryl advises. 

I toss my leg over the bike and hold onto his back. He revs the engine of the bike before spinning us around and chasing after the car with Sasha and Abraham.
