Minji had given me a list of rules and duties that I had to follow while living in this house. The woman was so unpredictable and crazy that her rules surely had something hidden.

My fingers trembled as I opened the file and found elegant-looking handwriting in black ink.

I took a deep breath and began to read.

RULES & DUTIES FOR MISS HANNI PHAM

1. Rules to follow in the Kim Mansion:

a) Allowed:

• Present yourself at the breakfast table before 7:00 am.

• Use the mansion's library if you wish.

• Consult Minji if you want to take a walk on the property.

• Consult Minji if you want to use the pool.

• Present yourself at the lunch table before 12:30 pm sharp.

• Stay in your room at all times, unless you have Minji's permission.

• Stay presentable at all times, with appropriate clothing.

• Wear an evening dress for dinner at 7:00 pm.

b) Not allowed:

• You are NOT allowed to start any meal without Minji, unless she indicates otherwise.

• Use phones, laptops, or any other communication devices unless Minji allows it.

• Go to the basement.

• Go to the third floor. It is completely RESTRICTED.

• Talk back.

• Lie.

• Question Minji's judgment.

• Enter Minji's room without her authorization.

2. Duties to be fulfilled by Hanni Pham:

• Always expected to follow Minji's orders without questions.

• When summoned by Minji, you are expected to report within five minutes regardless of where you are.

• Cook for Minji whenever she desires.

• Always expected to smile and appear happy when interacting with Minji.

• Fulfill all of Minji's needs if indicated.

3. Benefits:

Note *: Benefits will only be available if you manage to follow all the rules in this list. Benefits will be unlocked after one month of behavior supervision by Kim Minji.

a) Benefits after one month of excellent behavior:

Silver Benefits:

• No need for permission to walk in the garden.

• No need for permission to use the pool.

• You can move freely within the mansion and the property.

• You will be allowed to watch television.
