One week later"Are you saying I'll be going home tomorrow?" Minji asked Dr. Choi for the hundredth time that day.
Dr. Choi laughed as he stroked Minji's hand. "Maybe you'd like to stay here a bit longer?"
Minji shook her head, a smile playing on her lips. "I'd like to leave this place as soon as possible. Tonight if possible."
"I'll have the paperwork ready for tomorrow, but you'll have to come to the hospital at least once a week to continue with the treatment."
"Of course, I will," Minji assured him.
When Minji returned home the next day, her household staff welcomed her with a bouquet of flowers, and Hanni had specially prepared a cake for her with the words:
Welcome home, Minji
Then there was her little girl who jumped into her arms and asked if she would be awake from now on. And, of course, her seven-year-old son, who seemed apprehensive for some reason and didn't step forward or even shake hands, made Minji wonder if Daehan was too shy.
That evening, they had an excellent sumptuous meal with Hanni, Haerin, and some other old friends whom Minji didn't recognize.
After the meal, Haerin took Minji around the house, showing her the entire mansion, pausing briefly to show her bedroom and even teasing her about her first honeymoon.
Minji stopped and looked around her office, which was neatly organized. She liked the feel, and Haerin had mentioned she had spent her last thirty years working in the office, but Minji didn't remember anything, or so she claimed.
Haerin casually fixed her gaze on Minji. "I know you're pretending to forget," her eyes hardened. "You remember everything and everyone, don't you?"
Minji looked at her incredulously. "Excuse me?"
"In fact, I'm sure you haven't forgotten anything; you're just pretending so there's no longer a lawsuit against you, besides pleasing your wife again. Well, I'll tell you something, Min, I've taken care of this for the past three years, and I'm not stepping down from the CEO position. I hope that's clear to you."
"I don't know what you're talking about. You want to maintain the CEO position, that's fine with me," Minji replied.
Haerin chuckled. "You say that because the property still remains in your name."
Minji fell silent, and Haerin thought she had caught Minji in the whole amnesia lie.
Haerin continued in a low voice. "You can fool that wife of yours, but you can't fool me."
Minji wished she knew what her sister was talking about.

That night, Daehan entered Hanni's bedroom, almost forgetting that his mother had returned.
Minji smiled at the boy. "Hey, champ. How's school going?"
Daehan looked at her with wide eyes, remained silent, took a step back, and ran out of the room.
Minji turned to Hanni. "Did I do something?"
Hanni shook her head. "I think he's overwhelmed and probably doesn't know how to react with you here. I'll talk to him."
Hanni headed to Daehab's room, knocked once, and opened to find the boy lying on his bed with a tablet. He didn't look up as she continued.
Hanni realized Daehan's mood had something to do with Minji.
"Honey, what's wrong?" Hanni asked as she sat on the edge of the bed and pulled him closer.
