"I call it one hell of a mistake"
Y/N POV:
"Mom, Dad, Y/N," Emma began, her voice tinged with concern. I looked up at her.
"I need to tell you about something that happened today," she continued, glancing at us one by one.
As Emma described what happened to Will and how she went inside his head and saw the episode, my parents and I looked at her, concerned.
"So, you were inside Will's mind?" Mom asked, her concern etched into her furrowed brow.
Emma nodded. "Yes, but it felt unlike anything I've ever experienced. It was as if there was this immense force pushing back against me, like a tempest raging within his mind."
Dad leaned in, his expression mirroring her concern. "And the creature you encountered?"
"It was... surreal," Emma admitted. "It was like something from a nightmare, towering over me with eyes that seemed to penetrate into my very being."
"Are you sure you're okay, Emma? That sounds terrifying," I said to her, really worried about her and Will. Hearing about it is enough fear for me; Will is having an episode. Poor Will.
"I'm okay," Emma assured me, managing a faint smile. "Just a bit shaken, that's all."
Mom reached out, her hand offering reassurance as it landed on Emma's. "We're just relieved that you're both safe, dear."
Dad's tone shifted, his concern palpable. "If you need to take a day off tomorrow, you should. Your well-being is our priority."
"Thank you," Emma said, grateful for their understanding, though her expression turned serious as Dad posed his next question.
"Emma, does it feel real when you were in there?" he asked, his gaze searching hers.
"I feel like it's real. But I'm sure what Will is experiencing is not just an episode," My sister said to us.
Nancy, Jonathan, and I have already been taking risks, and now it seems like something is happening to Will too. Could it be that there's something we've overlooked?
* * *
As I stepped out of the house, ready to put our plan into action, Mom was getting ready to head over to the Byers' house, and Dad had left for work early, mentioning something about going to Hopper's place first and my sister was staying home today.
Entering the car, I found Jonathan already in the driver's seat with Nancy beside him.
As I nervously observed the park, I caught myself fidgeting my nails, the sound of children's laughter and chatter surrounding me.
