It won't talk about how
We are all just people who love who we love
And are the same underneath
This poem will not talk about discrimination
Or hardship
Even though it exists
No,
This poem will be about
How fucking awesome it is to be queer
The good things
The laughs and community and
Pride and
How we band together, us queers,
To protect each other and love each other
And dance,
wrap ourselves in rainbow flags
And show each other the acceptance
We all deserve
Really, we aren't here to hurt anyone with
Our queerness-
Queers just want to have fun.
And fun we shall have
