We are afraid to love
because we are afraid to lose.
But isn't the greater loss
a life lived without knowing love at all,
rather than having it slip through your fingers ?
I've never been in love,
Not truly.
And sometimes I don't mind
Because
Sometimes love
Is dangerous.
But true love doesn't hurt,
True love burns bright,
And that is the love I hope to find.
And that is why I'm writing to you,
My hypothetical friend.
