Chapter 48 Prom Night

Jay's P.O.V

Things have been a bit better since Cole and I made up. Although I can't say I entirely forgive him. The constant backlash I get from my parents about him doesn't help either. When they found out we were still friends they were not happy to say that least.

~Flashback~

"Mom, Dad I have something to tell you guys." I said

"Is this about you moving." Asked Edna

"I promise we're working as fast as we can to get everything rolling." Said Ed

"Yes dear, the process is just taking longer than expected. Oh your class schedule also came in the mail today! I left it on the kitchen table for you." Said Edna

"Oh really...I'll take a look at it later. I wanted to talk to you about something else though." I said

They stared at me and waited for me to continue.

"Cole and I are friends again." I said

Their mouths dropped.

"Sweetie why, think of all the bad things he did to you do you seriously-" said Edna before I cut her off

"Mom stop, seriously. Cole and the others saved me and if it weren't for Cole I'd probably wouldn't be here right now. The snakes did something to me and Cole fought so hard to help me. You should be thanking him." I said

"But Jay-" said Edna before Ed cut her off

"Your right Jay. We're sorry. If you want to be Cole's friend we'll support you 100%." Said Ed

I smiled before I went up to hug them.

"Thanks guys." I said

~End Flashback~

Okay scratch that, my mom was upset, meanwhile my dad didn't really seem to care much. I wonder why that is? Either way, I'm just happy because since then they haven't been saying anything bad to me about Lloyd or the others. I can finally start to piece together what I want.

*Ding*

I look at my phone to see Yoonji texted me

Yoonji: Hey Jay! Just checking to see if we're still on for prom. It has been a few days since I've heard from you. It's okay if not though, I just wanted to check on you and make sure you're okay!

I smiled a little but I hesitated a before I responded. When I imagine myself going to prom I can't picture myself with anyone but Nya, but I can't go through that drama again with Kai. I sighed before I texted Yoonji back.

Me: Hey Yoonji! I'm sorry about not texting you back, there has been...a lot going on lately but everything is okay now; I'm okay now.

Me: And we are absolutely still on for prom!

Yoonji: Yay! I'm so glad to hear you're okay, and I'm even more ecstatic we're still on for Prom! On a side note if you ever need to talk about anything I'm hear for you <3

Me: Amazing! Can't wait, I'm sure you're going to look stunning!

I put my phone away and began planning on what I'm going to pack for when I leave for Ninjago high rise. It's kinda funny, at one point I was excited to leave this place, now I'm kinda sad to leave everything behind. I'm lucky that my parents are letting me stay for the play and for Prom, but that's just going to make it harder when I leave.

Lloyd's P.O.V

"So...what's the plan now Greenie?" Asked Kai
