As they left for the party, the ride was enveloped in an uneasy silence. Taehyung kept his eyes on the road, his mind racing with thoughts about the evening ahead. Jungkook stared out the window, lost in his own world, the city's lights reflecting off the glass.

After a few minutes, Taehyung finally broke the silence. "Jungkook," he began, his tone more serious than before.

Jungkook turned to look at him, waiting for him to continue.

"There will be many well-known businessmen and media at the party tonight," Taehyung explained. "We have to act like a real couple, like we love each other. We need to be convincing."

Jungkook's brow furrowed slightly, but he nodded. "I understand. I'll do my best."

Taehyung glanced at him briefly before returning his focus to the road. "It's not just about doing your best. We need to be believable. People will be watching us closely. They can't suspect anything."

Jungkook sighed softly, feeling the weight of Taehyung's words. "Why is this so important to you?"

Taehyung hesitated for a moment, choosing his words carefully. "In the business world, appearances matter a lot. Our marriage is a part of that appearance , they have to believe that we are happily married."

Jungkook nodded again, processing the information. "Alright. I get it. We'll put on a good show."

Taehyung gave him a small, appreciative nod. "I know this isn't easy, but it's important."

As they neared the venue, the atmosphere in the car remained tense but with a mutual understanding. They were both aware of the roles they needed to play, and despite their personal differences, they were determined to present a united front.

Pulling up to the grand entrance of the event, Taehyung parked the car and turned to Jungkook one last time. "Ready?"

Jungkook took a deep breath, nodded, "Ready."

They stepped out of the car, immediately met by flashing cameras and curious onlookers. With practiced ease, Taehyung slipped an arm around Jungkook's waist, guiding him up the steps to the entrance. Jungkook leaned into the touch, trying to appear natural and affectionate.

As they entered the lavishly decorated venue, Taehyung whispered into Jungkook's ear, "Just remember, what i said and act naturally."

Jungkook nodded subtly, maintaining his smile for the cameras and guests. "Got it."

The night had just begun, and both of them knew they had to keep up the act. As they mingled with the crowd, exchanging pleasantries and engaging in conversations, they kept close to each other, their interactions seamless and convincing.

Despite the challenges and the underlying tension between them, they played their parts perfectly, presenting themselves as a loving and devoted couple. And as the evening went on, Taehyung couldn't help but feel a strange sense of pride in their ability to pull it off, while Jungkook found himself surprisingly comfortable in the role he was playing.

They might not have had all the answers or a clear path forward, but for now, they were in this together, facing whatever came their way.

As Taehyung and Jungkook continued to navigate through the crowd, they were approached by Mr. Han, a prominent business partner, and his son. Mr. Han greeted them warmly, his eyes crinkling with genuine happiness.

"Ah, Taehyung! It's so good to see you," Mr. Han exclaimed, shaking Taehyung's hand vigorously. "And you must be Jungkook. I've heard so much about you. Welcome."

Jungkook smiled politely, shaking Mr. Han's hand. "Thank you, Mr. Han. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Beside Mr. Han stood his son, who looked at Jungkook with an intensity that made Taehyung's blood boil. The younger Han's eyes roved over Jungkook shamelessly, lingering a bit too long on his face and form. The younger Han's eyes were practically undressing Jungkook, which did not go unnoticed by Taehyung.
