FIRST LOVE COMPLEX

PROLOGUE

"They're all dead!"

habang papalakad ako patungo sa tronong nababalot ng kadiliman dahil sa masamang panahon sa labas, ay para bang nanghihina ako at unti-unti iyon pinaparanas sa akin sa marahan kong paglalakad.

"Froy...Aeros...Razle...Stannis...Mattheo...Gregory, And Lorkan... none of them survived."

I have experienced living for the second time in this world, for reasons beyond comprehension, witnessing the tragic destinies that befell the individuals I have spoken of.

Fate had been cruel to them in this world, and none of them survived.

Yes, they all died.

At wala man lang ako nagawa kahit pa sa pangalawang pagkakataon kung hindi ang mapanood isa-isa kung papano sila magdusa at mamatay sa pagiging sawi nila at pagiging martyr sa pag-ibig.

Ngunit tama ba na sisihin ang pag-ibig or ang iisang babae na naging dahilan para maging miserable ang buhay nilang pito?

Sa ikalawang beses na muli akong mabuhay sa mundong ito, hindi pa rin mawaksi sa isipan ko ang possibilidad na nagkataon lang ang lahat.

"There must be someone who has been pulling all the strings." sambit ko.

And although their deaths were carried out in a manner that involved them taking their own lives or dying in battle, I can not help but feel a deep intuition that their deaths were not mere coincidence, but rather the result of a carefully orchestrated plan by someone.

Lost in my own thoughts, I stumbled and found myself sprawled on the floor in front of a captivating statue. It depicted the majestic Volterion sigil, a magnificent obsidian half human half phoenix named Vultrus. Additionally, Vultrus was their patron god.

"What is this? Oh, A god..." I clenched my fist and slammed it against the carpeted floor, a surge of frustration coursing through me. "If there is a higher power out there, I yearn for a meaningful role in this world," I whispered, my voice filled with longing. "Grant me a reason to exist here," Following that, I struggled to muster my strength so that I could stand up and voice my inner thoughts with conviction habang nakaduro ang aking daliri sa painting ni Vultrus, "Please let me live again and I promise to offer you my life in order to save these men who also deserve to be loved!"

Nag-echo ang pagsigaw ko sa loob ng bulwagan, wala na rin naman akong pakialam sa paligid ko, alam ko naman na wala na papansin sa akin dahil ako nalang naman ata ang natitirang buhay sa ngayon.

And as I stood there, anticipation coursing through my veins, I was taken aback by the sudden response from Vultrus. A powerful beam erupted from him, its brilliance overwhelming me and engulfing me in its radiant glow—sa muling pagmulat ng aking mga mata, nakita ko na lamang na nabuhay ang estatwa ng taong-ibon na si Vultrus.

"Are you the one who dared to summon me?" His voice echoed around despite the emptiness of the familiar room.

Para sa isang taong-ibon, Vultrus was a strikingly hot god with his toned body barely covered with red flares.

Namumula pa nga ata pagmumukha ko habang pinagmamasdan siya.

"Yes, I am." Buong tapang kong sagot sa kanya. Ramdam ko panginginig ng boses ko pero laking gulat ko na nagawa ko pa rin na makasagot sa kanya kahit na papaano.

"So, you are telling me that you actually want a shot at a second life, just so you can alter the destiny of these seven individuals from this novel?"

"Yes,"

"Human, I was not supposed to agree with you, but you are offering me something I couldn't ignore."

Bigla ko napaisip sa kapalit ng kahilingang ito sa kanya. Mabilis ako napalunok nang maalala na buhay ko nga pala ang sinabi kong isasacridice ko, mailigtas ko lamang ang pitong kalalakihang second lead sa nobelang ito.

"Having second thoughts now?" Vultrus suddenly asked me.

Sa totoo lang ay oo, may pagdadalawang isip nga naman ako. I mean, who wouldn't be kung ang kapalit ng lahat ng ito'y buhay ko?

Subalit sa kabila ng mga nasaksihan ko mula sa una at pangalawang buhay ko dito sa nobelang ito'y tanging pagdudusa lamang ng nung pitong lalaki ang nasaksihan ko.

"I don't want to see any of them dying unfairly. " ang tanging nasabi ko.

"So you think their fates were unfair." Vultrus turned away from me, his gaze distant and his intentions unclear. It seemed as though he was on the verge of departing, leaving me to face the unknown in solitude.

I could not bear the thought of him abandoning me in this place. Just seeing him here fills me with a glimmer of hope, as if my wildest dreams might actually become a reality.

"I believe they are deserving of more favorable destinies than those they previously endured."

"Changing their fates would require you to dwell into their toxic lives."

"That is exactly why I feel compelled to return once more, to lend a hand and alter the trajectory of their lives before they succumb to a bleak and disheartening future. I don't want them to die!"

Determinado talaga ako na sa pagkakataong ito'y hindi ko hahayaan na may mamamatay sa kanila.

Sa puntong ito, alam ko sa sarili ko na kahit ano pang sabihin sa akin ni Vultrus at hindi nito mababago ang pananaw ko.

I was ready to stake my very existence on this wish, even if it meant severing ties with my world, my family, and the life I once knew. I've come to prepare myself for the worst outcome of this one and not even a god like Vultrus could ever stop me.

Ngunit hindi ko alam na sa kahilingan ko na ito ay masusupresa na lamang ako nang muling lumingon sa direksyon ko si Vultrus.

I was utterly taken aback by his sudden behavior, so much so that I had not even begun to fathom his actions.

Sa sobrang bilis ng pangyayari ay di ko namalayan when Vultrus lunged towards me, his blade drawn from its sheath in a seamless motion.

"Wait, Vultrus, what are you---No!"

My heart skipped a beat as he effortlessly soared above me, his intention clear--and that was to cleave me in two, causing me to instinctively shut my eyes in fear.

Following that was a ray of light that succumb me in total darkness.
